URC have Tweeted that the fixture announcement will be coming this Thursday:
In the meantime, if you pause the video on the tweet at around 4 or 5 seconds, you can see a blurred out fixture list and if you squint, you can sort of make out the teams' logos enough to work out who's playing who. If I've worked it out correctly, our fixtures in order for the upcoming season will be: 1. Edinburgh 2. Lions 3. Munster 4. Leinster 5. Connacht 6. Sharks 7. Bulls 8. Cardiff 9. Ospreys 10. Dragons 11. Ulster 12. Connacht 13. Glasgow 14. Zebre 15. Cardiff 16. Dragons 17. Ospreys 18. Stormers It might just be a decoy, or I've got it wrong. We'll find out on Thursday anyway.

Hate to break it to you but i'm pretty sure that was last season's fixtures in order before things got muddled up due to covid rescheduling:-

Simon Thomas suggesting Scarlets v Ospreys Fri 16/9 to kick off the season. I'm not convinced that guy is in the know about anything, as his tweets usually come a few minutes after someone else has tweeted the same info, but we'll see.

I get that for the likes of Hardy & Elias but the likes of Cawdor, Williams & Patchell should be back sooner in my opinion.

I read somewhere that the 5 weeks is made up of 2 weeks full holiday with 3 weeks personalised fitness programmes - not part of official pre-season with the rest of the squad but individually.

We didn’t have many in the squad and I expect the rest weeks might be staggered. I’d be amazed if Patch, Cawdor and Bledd were unavailable for the opener. |

We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

Pointless having us play the osprets with neither side having welsh squad players. What a slap in the face to the fans and sponsors

Why would there be no Wales players? Players have two weeks completely off after SA, three weeks then of pre season individual conditioning away from the club, then back in for pre season on Aug 22, and then are allowed to play at the discretion of the coaching team. Clearly they won't be available for Bristol, doubtful for Dragons, but can't see any reason why at the very very least Jonny Williams, Cawdor, O'connor and Patchell won't ready to go on Sep 16. EDIT - I should have taken the time to read the earlier posts which basically say the same thing 🤦🏻

While we play in a league that ultimately gerrymanders to the international tier, this isn't going to change and is everything that's wrong with the sport.
