Scrum V chuckled it all off with the usual’ nudge nudge he knew what he was doing’ and ‘it’s Tips ‘ etc .. not one mention of condemnation of his actions which was disappointing with all the focus on player safety. Poor really

I thought that he should have been Red carded on the day. However, I dont see him being cited as it benefits nobody, including the Scarlets.

Whilst most Ospreys supporters are knowledgable rugby fans, there are always a few exceptions. On WoL a couple of rather silly Ospreys supporters are claiming McNicholl took a dive and has colluded with the team doctor to fail his HIA! |

On Gwlad they claiming ref saved us and conspired to give us game.
Another point not picked up the last try an Osprey forward clearly came in ruck from side and this gave room for Griffiths to score try. The analysis was so poor on Scrum five it’s a joke

Only just managed to log on here in France... no idea why it 'switched off' when we crossed the channel... anyway, couldn't see the game live here, but caught up on YouTube this afternoon...
Odd feelings - after being 13-3 down, a draw looks like a good result; after leading 23-16 with 4 min left and deep in their 22, it looks like a bad one. I suppose over the match a draw was a fair result, but surely the second (easier) penalty on the 15m line should have been kicked - no way they would have come back from 26-16 with 3 min left. On the cards - Tipuric's a definite yellow (at least) because he had time to pull out or at least mitigate the contact... it may be true that first contact was forearm to chest, but to me it looked as if this was immediately followed by head to face - not deliberate, but surely reckless. It's not as if his head 'slid up' to Jonny's face, is it? Fitifa's was nothing at all - he went to tackle a player who was falling rather quickly, tried to wrap, and his arm never hit the head as far as I could see - he got the shoulder, with quite a soft contact. If the player hadn't been on the way down his (fair) intentions would have been obvious. Kalamafoni, Costrellow and Jonny Williams starred and quite a few others did well - Rogers, and Louisi in the second half.

Every team’s supporters are one eyed. If a player punched someone full out in the face their supporters would find a way to defend it. 😂

Had a bit of a manic weekend so only now having time to post on the thread.
First half I thought we were lucky to be 7 points down & I feel the Ospreys were probably good value for a 13 point plus lead. Set piece was a shambles in the first period so whatever was said in the changing rooms needs to be said before this weekends match! Second half we played a much smoother brand of rugby & the balls were sticking in contact. Wyn, Daf & Josh were immense once they came on. Johnny Williams was so good going forward & caused the Ospreys plenty of problems, as did Sam Costellow so there are causes for optimism. Our defence was resilient in the second period. We should have taken the 3 points at the end, no excuses for that really. One thing i did notice was the amount of times the Ospreys used their centres or Collins at first receiver so Anscombe had more space when he got the ball at 12, this made a big difference. All in all that is the type of match we would have not come back into a couple of years ago so Im happy we got 2 points out the game but feel that we lost 2 points & the Ospreys won a couple of points.

Lots being talked about the various controversial incidents in the game, which to be honest will come and go in any game. But looking at the bigger picture I thought our defence was superb and a million miles from where we were last season. Ospreys battered us in the first half (in part due to our own errors) but what kept us in that game was a rock solid defence. Once we sorted out our set piece and cut out the silly mistakes, we were by far the better team in the second half and should have won - BUT it was all thanks to our solid defence in the first 40 minutes.
