Can you explain why ?
They think that llanelli think they will get a place in the new thing.

Says a lot about then.

The ties with Quins have always been closer with Scarlets than the Drovers . Perhaps the influence of the excellent and caring Brian Jones but a lot warmer.

This will be terribly unpopular on here, but I do believe we will end up with an east and west pro region that is totally unattached to a particular club. Our 4 regions are totally imbalanced.

Dragons, utterly useless region but Gwent has most clubs
Scarlets' biggest town is 50k at best
Ospreys picks up Swansea, Neath, Aberavon, Bridgend
Cardiff should sustain itself but doesn't use the valleys well enough

This Elite 8 has to be the feeder teams for the pros and should come from historically important rugby town such as Llanelli, Swansea, Neath, Aberavon for west and Bridgend, Cardiff, Ponty (or Poola) and Newport for east, playing in grounds of 5,000 capacity. There should be a central pot so that no rich men cant fund them.

Good luck to Ammanford in the cup tomorrow

Ammanford 35 Newbridge 43 Full Time
Ammanford
played well but they were a much bigger outfit.

Hard luck Ammanford and well done !
What is it about us west wales boys, , outsized by our cousins from the east.Confused
Even when I played youth district rugby, we were up regularly against East Mon....huge packs.
Had to think of ways to combat it.
Newbridge always combative opponents for Llanelli, in times gone by, very physical and never easy .
Been there twice and seen us lose TWICE !

Hope Ammanford build on this now going forward, will give them confidence

I dot mean this in a derogatory way, but probably more English stock being close to the border and the valleys being flooded by English miners back in the day.

Doesn't look good this..looks arrogant too to think the RFC can simply not play league games next season yet expect to get into a new 8 team Welsh prem automatically ?
of course they will be init.
