Llanelli's match has been postponed due to a number of injuries in their front row.

I have heard in fairness they rang around a few clubs asking for assistance.
Without trying to sound too negative, and with less players going to be available from the Scarlets next season due to squad reductions, is the RFC side coming to an end ? |

On a positive note, there could be more players available across the league, with regional squads being reduced. For too long there have been too many mediocre players spead over too many teams in the premiership. It's not great of course , for those losing regional contracts, it s been a worrying time for them. Where does this leave Llanelli RFC? It's difficult to say of course, but it high time the RFC committee met with the public to have a meaningful discussion. We would like to know what options there are, even if they are slim. As it stands its a worrying decline, and one that Scarlets, even in the current difficult climate, cannot wash their hands of.

If there are some regional players being released, Llanelli RFC ain’t going to be an attractive proposition unfortunately.
The top 4 in the league, Cardiff, Llandovery, Merthyr and Aberavon have large budgets. With Newport, RGC and Ebbw not too far behind. I’m sure most regional players dropping down to semi pro level will be snapped up by the above sides in the main, that’s if they decide to stay in Wales. Pontypool will be flush with money as well when they enter the Welsh Prem next season and I guess Neath will have a decent budget. Some regional pros will no doubt go to the English championship as well. |

Yes could well be true Boisbach. Even the championship in England will pay a decent wage. Makes it therefore even more important that the debate is opened by those running LLanelli RFC/including scarlets, before it disappears in to oblivion. Surely than be done, difficult though it may be ?

Yes Ebbw climbed into the top 4 yesterday evening after a good away win and Aberavon losing again meaning they dropped out of top 4. Ebbw doing well.

RFC should be able to find props to help them out big catchment area players in Coleg Sir Gar, Llandovery College, all the feeder clubs in the scarlets region
