Oh we are dross of course and we may be in the wilderness longer than Moses, but I still think if wed applied more common sense and more imagination in our coaching and strategies wed at least be a tad bit better. As it stands , considering the money invested in this squad an these coaches , we're embarrassing really, incapable of playing any rugby and too scared to even try

It is a majestic french team and we have the ignoble distinction of handing them the missing piece of their jigsaw on a platter, namely the worlds best defence coach. Edwards joining france was the alignment of the french rugby planets. He supplied everything that was missing, discipline, structure, desire, mental strength etc Now theyre the full package and they have the WRU to thank for their world class incompetence As for france v italy, it makes me laugh people always compare the 2 lol I would in general agree Italy is better though, Italy is an astonishing country with a bit of everything, beauty, sunshine culture and arts un-paralleled, it really has everything apart from frogs and snails lol

I wonder what will happen tomorrow when cymru wins , how many negative loving people will say it was because France didn't play well , or France were off colour ..always them and never us....I await with baited breath

Both France & Ireland are top quality teams. For me Ireland's main strength is their consistency of performance. France though have the higher ceiling. At times they are a delight on the eye playing rugby with such simplicity which oozes class and is worthy of Bennett in his prime. There is no greater compliment available to me. As for France, the land and people I do not share your view there Lofty. I have travelled quite extensively from North to South and have loved every minute. The history, traditions, food & wines of every region are a sheer joy.

France will probably try too hard to be the France that shamed England and not hit the same heights. Still win quite comfortably though.
Not a Scooby Doo why you would change the centres and not get Christ etc play... (I mean that from a future point of view). |

Smacks of Gatland being a little emotional which is a surprise. Farewell 6 nations selections for quite a few in my opinion.

Sounds near the mark there TBS. If Wales can keep it to less than 15 I will be pleasantly surprised.

Lofty, you know what I’ll say about France and its people. Like many places, the more you get to know it and its people, the better it is.
Had some great times in Italy, too, although speak only a few words, so limited. If we can keep it under 50 that would be something. Still struggling to see how we’ve improved under the new and expensively installed coaching regime. If my expectations are exceeded and we put in a performance that’s unrecognisable from recent fare, that’d be wonderful.

According to one English pundit, France will put 70 points on the board today - source Steve James’s article in the Times. Pundit not named. Anyone know who?

Well it won’t be Orders that’s for sure, cause with so many of his beloved Ospreys, Wales will push them all the way.
