I disagree with Wayne (sorry). As someone said earlier, let mAce organise his own thing (he locked the thread and posted about it after all) and I suggest three of us go to see Lloyd as representatives of the STWG. Lets keep the boundaries and the picture clear and not allow Lloyd to conveniently muddy the waters between the fans, SF and the STWG.

On reflection Wayne, I think we should meet Rob Lloyd seperately on the issue of the Trust anyway, not as representatives of the forum. We are going to need all the positive press we can get as far as the Trust is concerned, and this, at least, has to be a non-contentious issue as far as the proposal is concerned. By all means arrange a representative group from the forum to meet him, and that's only right, but I don't think that precludes the idea of us meeting him seperately. If he does, Indeed, have an open door policy to ANYONE, that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes. We need to meet him as The Trust. We'd have done this anyway, as part of the setting up process.

Yes, I agree with Barrie - and we can justify it as saying that we need to form a relationship prior to becoming a Supporters Trust. Any other argument we have with the Star is incidental.

How about it wiz and mAce?T the consensus seems to be that it should be done I think also that meeting the guy on the subject of the Trust is a positive move. As Abbey says, anything else, as far as we're concerned is incidental. No doubt reference would be made to the Star's coverage to date, but I think that most of us know each other well enough by now to know that any delegation would talk sense, and not aggravate the siyuation. I would also suggest that a seperate meeting IS arranged along the lines that wiz and mAce suggest, to put over a balanced view of non-Trust forum nembers. Edited by Scarletrover |
