I've had it from a very good source that Quins tight head Marc "polar" o'kelly is soon to be ex Quins. With all the upheavel at the quins and his native Loughor doing well in Div 2,polar is near to joining ex quins scrum half Steve Wake back at Loughor.

Been told by a mate who works with him that he is going nowhere and the atmosphere between the players is first class.
I wish my wife would let us move back to Bonymaen

If he fancies a move to division 2 there is a team not a million miles from the Quins he might want to consider...

But in all seriousness, asking about I've been told he's not planning a switch.  Perhaps another rumour mill special.

Is this a case of great minds...
Or fools rarely... ?

This is not a rumour mill special, without revealing any sources there are 3 "senior" players ready to jump ship with the quins, polar being one.One will be going back to loughor -polar.....one to Betws and one to Trimsaran.Make of this what you like but this is reality not rumour mongering. The scarlets European squad means nothing when you have a tight head in front of you who couldnt lace his boots in the quins.Marc o'kelly has the size, power and skill to play European level though he can't commit 100% full time due to his profession. He will be back in Loughor by January, fact.

I love rumour mills!!!!!!!! Come down to Carmarthen have a chat with Mark O Kelly (loughour) Gareth King (Bettws) and Andrew Thomas (Trimsaran). I can tell you unresevedly that these three boys are not ready to jump ship, in fact no one is ready to jump ship, the feeling in the squad is first class, they have got what they wanted in Ian Jones coming back as coach, who will soon be looking for other coaches.

Being a close friend of Mark O Kelly, I can say that he will not be in Loughor by January, maybe January 2007 but I have had many a close chat and he will stick it out for this season. Regardless of the results this squad has stuck together through some s**t in the past few weeks, and they will all be together for the rest of theseason.

On an aside, the Premier league is over as a contest, I would go so far as to say that Neath will not be beaten again this season (certainly not at home and maybe not away either) they are an awesome side. But then thats what money can buy!!!

Being a close friend of his then Quinsboy you wil know that he has been offered a regional contract with the blues for next season????

Of course he will not take this up due to his young family and.........a coaching job back in his former club, where im told his heart is,this coupled with the niggling back injury he is carrying will make this the end of him in Quins.

Aside from this totally agree with you about Neath,Money can buy you a league. They will not lose another game this season anywhere.....too much strength in depth one thinks!

Quinsboy, like you said its only a rumour mill!!!

Ian Jones is a good coach and is held in high regard with the scarlets and the Welsh set up,likewise Craig Bonnel is making a name for himself in the same circles, although it seems in Carmarthen your face has to fit,for example like an elsom or a Dragone. If the Quins committee had gone down the road of reinstating these coaches,I dare say you would have seen a scarlet down at the park again or any developement players....such moves would probably been frowned upon in the regional set up and probably as far as Cardiff........enough said?

Quins have had a bad couple of weeks with the in fighting detracting from the business end of things......sort it out people.

I thought that but after speaking to Polar Bear on Friday we are both as miffed as each other as to who this person is. Polar informs me he knows nothing about Mark o Kelly being offered a Blues contract!!

He has heard however that Daddo is reconsidering his decision to retire at the end of the season.
