Just a quick message to say well done to Llanelli last night!!! Gutted we lost but it was fantastic to see how many young players stepped and and shone last night for both sides. Craig Hawkins, Ceirion Thomas and the Llanelli front five were exceptional as were the Quins half-backs Wayne Evans and Aled Thomas. Why oh why aren't these young talents being given regional experince - every other region is doing it. Look at Newport Dragons with Peter Sidoli, Luke Charteris etc., Ospreys with Mathew Jones, Richie Pugh etc and even Cardiff for gods sake with Macleod and the Robinsons and McShane and John Yapp. |

Totally agree there. Ceiron Thomas has had a superb last 5 or 6 games, aswell as Aled Thomas has been playing well all season! We need to give these boys a crack in th regional team as i have no confidence what so ever in Ga Bowen and Arwel Thomas! Ospreys play Matthew Jones at 10 (till he got injured) and the Blues play Lee Thomas and Nick Mc cleoad at 10, all these are young players, so give our boys a go! |

Good prospects at the Quins as future regional players. I'm sure the same is on the cards for some of Llanelli's players. I'm all for giving the semi pro players a shot at regional level, especially if the current squad aren't pulling their weight in the games.

The future is looking bright, as long as we can keep hold of these players and stop the clubs with money getting them. The ageing squad can now be challenged by these quality players, and especially (as was previously mentioned) if current squad members aren't performing. Suddenly we don't need to spend too much money on players when we have such an abundance of hot prospects shining week in week out for their semi professional teams.
