Does anyone take an interest in it? and does It have any merit?I tell myself i don't like it but look anyway just so I can argue about the winner. Ladbrokes offering the following. The Streets and basement jaxx would have my betting, but where is "Phantom Power" by the Super furries? critics choice you see, no taste like the rest of us. Which brings me to an idea, how about our own poll for albums of 2004?

Doesn't really mean much to me. although i look out for the winner. Havent heard all those albums, but Snow Patrol would eb my choice simply because its the lesser of 12 evils. Poll for album of 2004 would be great, but i doubt my favourites would feature!

Any justice cause they deserve some recogn. - Belle and Sebastian - but alas they have no chance. I'd go for The Streets for the audacity to provide us with a concept album. BTW - no 'You Are The Quarry' or 'Absent Friends'? TUT.

the only album out of that lot that I've got is snow patrol but it's a bit boring to win a big award like this. Last weekend I bought the best of altered images and the datsuns' first album, niether of which were released this year so they wouldn't qualify anyway. |

Out of that lot I think my choice would have to be Franz Ferdinand. But
if I was to select an album of the year right now it would have to be
Fly or Die by N.E.R.D
