we had 8 or 9 players missing yesterday (plus injured players), and playing a few players out of position and only 5 on the bench. it was a massive cup game against a fellow premiership team and we both have a big cup tradition and its played the same time as the lv. and we had home and away linesmen !!. ponty knocked on for one of their tries but the linesman isnt allowed to come in and comment. welsh rugby is a shambles.

I don't know how old he is now, but if he could improve his fitness - to be fair, he lasted the full 80 minutes (not that he had a choice with no replacements on the bench) - he'd make a monster of a number 8. He pulled in 3 tacklers each time he got the ball and never once went backwards. Stroke of genius moving him to lock. If he could be conditioned, he did look tired at the end, he'd be a bit of an asset. |

Why? Is that the law with home and away officials? |

So glad you said about the knock-on Tondu as it was right in front of us and everyone around us saw it but the Ref and Linesman allowed play to continue and they scored! Why isn't the Linesman allowed to bring the Ref's attention to such things as thought that was the reason they were there?

He was outstanding and must have run himself into the ground, well done Craig he looked like a Quinnell out there. Definately worth a pre season with the Scarlets.

All credit to the boys they give there all with so many players missing,if we had nailed our kicks and taken our try chances we could have one it .
Another spectacular effort by Kyle Evans this man his a gem,it was great to hear he has been called up to train with the Scarlets this week .
Craig Cross had a massive game with a huge ball-carrying performance at lock, and hooker Greg George did really well at openside .

Really! that's great news, his last 2 performance's have been electrifying. Let's give him a run out, that's what the LV's there for, might help us get the win as well, he's on fire right now.

I know Ponty were down to 14 when Evans scored, but he must have blitzed past about 7 men to touch-down yesterday. Good vision to spot the gap and tore the field apart; same thing he did against Mosely. Haven't seen much of him aside from the last 2 games - anyone know where he's come from?
Great to hear he's training with the Scarlets, if he could step that form up we'd have a star there. |

Wasn't Craig Cross a lock before we originally tried to convert him into the front row?

Only "Assistant Referees" can step in on foul play / knock on's offsides etc .. An "Assistant Referee" is appointed by the WRU to that fixture & MUST be qualified to the required level. If the officials are Referees but NOT appointed by the WRU, then they can only flag for "in touch" & conversions/penalty goals ! |
