Won't Aled D be with Wales and Conbeer with the under 20s?  Some talk that Patchell and Bulbring may be in line for a run (but are they eligible). Pete the Meat a possible before he departs for Merthyr?

Patchell won't be there.
It's not always about where you end up, it's about how you get there.

Whatever happens, we need as strong a side as possible. No Scarlets game so if it's within the rules we should give a few seniors a run. Ealing are a good side and we won't beat them unless we take it seriously.

Almost all those starting Saturday against Leinster deserve a rest. There are however squad members who have been under-used like Josh MaCleod, Jack Condy, Tom Phillips,  Morgan Allen, Declan Smith, Ioan Nicholas, DTH, Tom Williams, Gareth and Mathew Owen,  McBryde, Aled Thomas, Shambo, , Nicky Thomas, Dafydd Hughes, Taylor Davies, Rhys Fawcett, Luke Garrett, Lewis Rawlins, Bernardo, Josh Helps.
Through no fault of our own we're short of scrum halves, but we really need to invest in better carrying second rows  and if we have decided that Allen hasn't got the quality we're looking for then another carrying 8

I take it we're only allowed 7 replacements in this competition. That's a decent Scarlets side although I must admit that I have little idea what sort of standard to expect from Ealing
The only name I'm not familiar with is Joe Powell- does anyone know what he's like?

ROFL a lot of Welsh names there!  Aled Jenkins was a second-string Ospreys player who I knew from playing at Mumbles RFC, who I support.  He has now found a new lease of life at Ealing, apparently.
