spoke to a wasps friend of mine and he said that
"Craig White is one of the best in the business. He transformed our fitness regime and made us into the one of the fittest teams in Europe. He was supposed to be travelling this year after his return from the Lions tour, but maybe he's decided to change his plans." CRAIG WHITE is expected to be named as the new Wales fitness coach within the next two weeks. The former Lions and Wasps conditioning coach is favourite to replace Andrew Hore with Mike Ruddock's Wales. Wales on Sunday understands that White has been offered the post but has some personal issues to resolve before he accepts the position. White is very much in the Hore mould. He is renowned as a tough taskmaster and was a major cog in Wasps' success in the Zurich Premiership and the Heineken Cup. Steve Lewis, the WRU General Manager, confirmed the appointment of Hore's replacement was imminent. And he revealed that Hore, who has revolutionised Welsh rugby's approach to fitness and conditioning, has played a key role in his successor's appointment. full story |
