Not that I speak Italian unfortunately but this statement apparently confirms Zebre are set to pull out of Pro12 before the season begins. https://twitter.com/Federugby/status/889411101531795456

Hopefully Mr Ian can shed some light.

Google Translate, from the Zebre site

"Press Release @Federugby: A new company will handle the franchise of the #Rugby Zebra to attend"

So does that just mean a change or name/location?

Found the statement on FIR website, here's the google translate of it all:-

The Rugby Italian Federation has taken note of the communication received from the Company "Zebre Rugby Srl", in which the writer expressed his renunciation to participate in the Guinness PRO12 2017/18.

Deliberate the establishment of the " Zebre Rugby Club Company " to ensure the participation of two Italian teams in the competition in order to comply with the agreements in place with the Celtic Rugby Board, and determined to appoint a new director of the new company to Mr. Andrea Dalledonne and Mr. Diego Rivetti as the only Mayor, FIR leaders will meet on Monday 24 July in Parma - together with the new directors - members of the staff and players of the franchise to start the operating processes of  "Zebre Rugby Club"  and define as soon as possible Contracts with technical cadres, athletes and staff of the new Society.

It reads like Zebre have told the FIR they want to drop out of the Pro12 but FIR are committed to entering two teams to comply with the league agreement, so yes maybe just a move and rebrand for the time being at least.

It s a strange story...two years ago Zebres were completely federal, but FIR with financial problems looked for a private group for managing the team and for 300k euros sell the Zebres to a group of Parma that everybody know they hadn t money for this kind of business...in fact after few months they call the help of Fir for paying the wages of players....
This year fir decides again to take the Zebrez cause of they are failed and cant partecipate to pro12...in the meanwhile best players go away and come in only boys from italian championship..fir calls them as development team, but in the reality all know that this kind of team in pro rugby cant exist...fir looking as Connacht model, but irish left this years ago...in my opinion the last 2 years and then italian out fron Celtic and then play out in 6N
