Message from Zebre:

Good day to you
May I introduce myself, I am Terry Paletta and I am writing to you on behalf of the new Zebre Rugby Club from Parma Italy.

We would like to inform you that we are preparing mini weekend trips to Parma for all supporters which will coincide with the game that you will play in Parma - these mini trips will include cultural and gastronomical excursions - Parma being one of the most important areas in Italy for Food and Culture and has the official Parma UNESCO City of Gastronomy acclamation !

The Region of Emilia, where Parma is situated, is the hometown of the most famous Wheels in the world :
Ducati
Ferrari
Lamborghini
Maserati
We will include tours to these companies and Museums
.. and not only .. Parma is the hometown of the most famous and typical Parma Ham and Parmisan Cheese .. not to forget the vineyards .. evenings before the match spent drinking Wine and tasting Cheese and Parma Ham are a total must !
We will entice you and your supporters with our hospitality and beauty !

I will shortly send you a price list and itinerary that you will be able to present to your supporters that should wet their appetite to come and see the match and at the same time enjoy the beauty of Parma and Italy !!

I hope you appreciate this offer and will contact you again as soon as possible with dates and prices .

Have a good weekend
--

Great initiative and look forward to the details.

Me and Mrs EO also wish Zebre the best of luck in their rebuilding after the financial difficulties.

And for those that haven't been to Parma, it's a lovely place. Having a guided tour to some of the places listed above would be terrific.

Have looked at this and the only thing I can say is that a train from Milan to Parma takes about an hour and a half and can cost as little as 9.9. euros one way depending on the time of day you travel.

Can anyone who's done the trip advise as to the best way of getting to Parma. I've looked at a flight in and out of Milan, and a transfer to Milan by train.

Don't tell me; there was a well-stocked, beer-laden buffet car?
