The Ospreys really are looking like a team who know where their strengths lie, which is their scrum, maul and defence, that really hurts me as a scarlets fan.  They have built well in recent seasons, without bringing in many big names.
Very unlucky with two break away tries but the O’s winger was so weak and slow in his botched tackle-one fend and he was on the floor. Poor stuff. Gate of 3900 !!! Absolutely awful for a big game at the top end of the table. It’s a mess over there

That’s true, when you consider that the ospreys are best performing welsh region and that both sides had some of their international players back.  Our crowd against Munster was better despite our unacceptable league position and the fact that both teams were without their international players.

Ospreys have a good squad of forwards but are really lacking behind. Two interception tries and very little attacking nous apart from the rolling maul. Smith again a wrecking ball at scrum time; Snyman looked as if he had stumbled onto an under 18's field by mistake - he really is a serious specimen.

If Leinster can keep him fit they will have a hell of a player who makes offloading from the clouds seem easy. Time for Tipuric to get  a haircut!!!!!!

Cardiff at it again picking up points & staying in games.

It's a little difficult to admit, but I felt quite sorry for the O's!  Felt really sorry for Cuthbert, certain try, now that's his season over.  Munster at the breakdown were brutal, give the O's their due, they refused to be bullied and gave as good as they got.  Snyman is a absolute monster, 6'9" and no excess weight, brushes people aside and makes outrageous offloads putting people into space.

There's real dog about the O's, heroic try line defence before HT with only 14 men, refused to let Munster in for a score.  Impressive. Unhappy

Got to agree, they deserved better than nil points.  Shows what can be done with good coaching and application.  I hope we get back there one day.

Ben Whitehouse has swapped the warmth of the TMO studio in Lyon, where he “deprived England of victory by calling the foul tackle by Ben Earl for Ramos to kick the Blues to a win”, for the warmth of Durban.

Sharks v Ulster is testing the TV scheduling later on, as with the 1300 start, at 1330 we’ve had 19 mins of play only. The ulster try is being checked for something or other so more delay.

19 mins play and 12 mins stoppages…..

Hilarious Ulster second try. Their hooker punches it out of the ruck near try line, despite Sharks seemingly in control having stolen the line out. Treadwell picks up and gets the ball grounded.

Yet, despite taking ages over the decision the TMO doesn’t notice clear TV images showing the Ulster foul so the try stands.

Ben Whitehouse sold down the river well and truly by his TMO on that one.

Two mins before the next programme starts Stormers v Edinburgh or us v Benetton on Viaplay 2, there’s still 10 plus mins left of Sharks v Ulster.

There’s more space created on the pitch now after Ben Whitehouse removed 3 players in one go. Henderson for a high tackle and then Vincent Tsh1tuka and the Ulster 13 for a literal tête-a-tête of the push and shove variety.

Who is coaching the Lions? Those from Johannesburg rather than the international four-yearly variety.

They’ve always been bang average, good triers etc but this season they’ve done superbly.

Stuffing Connacht 14-38 after losing their tight head to an early red card is wonderful stuff.

What’s occurring there?

Also, Stormers play with such joy and freedom, too.

They seem to want to play to try and win, be positive and create stuff, rather than bosh and negative play.

Wonderful viewing
