I'll never forget that Cordle try..In those days they only used to show the second half live.  I agree  about Gary Pearce  he was quite under rated  I agree.

First cup final i went to👍👍. Good player pearce quite chunky for a fly half wasn’t he?

The 72/73 season was immense. Beat the ABs and then win the Cup after losing it the season previous. That run of 4 cup wins must have been in no small part due to the confidence gained in the NZ victory.
