He's better than Tyler Morgan that's for sure.

Huw Jones is an excellent attacking player but his defence is very poor. So in my opinion, not the type of player the Scarlets need at present.

Our defence yesterday at 10/12/13 was awful. The Edinburgh centres in particular crossed the gain line through poor tackling on numerous occasions. Dan really needs to work on his tackle technique as often doesn't wrap or use arms in the tackle.

The most physical guy in our backline yesterday was probably Rogers at 15. We need more power and size otherwise we're always going to be conceding the gain line. When teams get within 15 metres or play direct we inevitably concede points on a regular basis.

simon muderack did say we are looking at a physical player in centres/wing area, we really do need an enforcer and leader in our backs to tighten up our defence and to give us some go forward in contact

I just can't see why we are so fragile around the fringes, we have been all season but there is no real reason as to why we are.

On Sunday no physical presence in the back division and only one in the back row and he's off to the Ospreys.  Hardy is a good defender but he's not a Mike Phillips.

Ryan missed a few tackles and needs to work on that . Having said that the Scots had some big units out there.

our back rowers are all good ball players but none are really good in close quarter. Blade a bit unlucky not to win a pen in the build up to their first try, then 2 phases he later he goes falling over a ruck on our line 😳

That was laughable.
We're still still here, but I wish we were in an Anglo-Welsh

If we could get them fit, Patchell, Foxy and Williams is a very solid defensive midfield.

Thoughts welcome.

This is intriguing. (Good player by the way).
I've not heard of a rugby club granting a contract clause allowing a player to be released if they don't get promoted. Not ideal waiting until June to get that knowledge either!

Seen players try (and occasionally succeed if both parties align) to get out of a contract when things change notably...see Rhys Carre from Sarries for example.

Seems he did have this clause in his contract, very clever.

Scotland centre Huw Jones is considering a contract offer from newly-crowned Premiership champions Harlequins.

Jones had agreed to join Bayonne next season, but is understood to have invoked a relegation clause to withdraw from the move after the French side dropped to the ProD2.

The 27-year-old ended his four-season stint at Glasgow this summer, and has long desired to play in the Top 14. However, with Bayonne’s defeat by rivals Biarritz in the league play-off, he has chosen to pursue options elsewhere and is expected to conclude a deal with Quins in the coming days.
