Errrr what Ruck ?

I tell you what, if I was the Glasgow coach watching that picture I'd ask myself why they weren't counter-rucking!! Aaron and Iongi aren't exactly the most physical or with the most bulk in the world!!

I'd be asking why no one was running around the back ... It takes at least one player from each side on his feet contesting the ball on the floor to create a ruck ... No ruck .. No offside line !
Had there been a ruck & then the Scots backed away ??
Herman Tours ... Still the best way to travel !

I'm assuming there had been a ruck, although I don't have a pic.  Either that, or Ben fell over and needed a cwtch. Smile

Or maybe Iongi and Shingler were rolling him towards the Scotts, like in Braveheart with the logs on fire.  Or was that Kirk Douglas in Spartacus.

Because knowing the way Phillips ref'd that game they'd get done for offside!! WinkLOL

Me too as the offside line would still be in effect !
Quite a common ploy at the O's form the ruck, create an offside, retire from ruck ... If the side taking the ball in back away, then counter ruck & turnover !

That was the way they playerd all night though, little commitment to the breakdown and stuff the midfield with players. Made for a dire spectacle.
