Ouch.

Hope you’re fully recovered.

It was 20 years ago . It ended my rugby career but thankfully I'm still able to do most things.

Didn't realise I failed to follow up. Well better late than never. For those who are worried about the op - don't. It is the best thing I have done & my recovery was pretty swift. i was getting around without crutches after 10 days and back walking the dogs after around two months.

Hardest part was sticking to the exercises given 3/4 times a day. Relied often on Diane giving me the gee up but sticking to it rigidly made the op successful My specialist told me pre op that the successful outcome was 50/50. 50% was his expertise and the other 50% was my commitment to doing to recovery work. Not had a problem with the knee since - a huge difference to living with constant pain and swelling.

Good luck Townboy. Remember diligence with exercises every day for at least two weeks pays dividends.

Stepped off the pavement with a shopping bag in both hands the other day. Went down in slow motion to a crouch and then managed to heave myself vertical again.
Didn’t break stride.

The whole street of people were captivated between trying to help and giggling.

I made it look as if I intended it of course.

I have suffered for 40+ years with an old rugby injury which curtailed my playing career and I am about to undergo this procedure. If anyone is interested to find out about this please let me know and I will share my experiences.
