The RFC got another hammering today in St. Helens against Swansea losing 53-15. Lost every game so far . It’s time the Scarlets sorted this embarrassing state of affairs out . If you look at the make up of the Cardiff RFC team today you see a good mix of Academy and senior squad players which the RFC can only dream of. How do you possibly build success and a proper fan base with results like this? You can’t of course! Feel sorry for the hard working coaches being treated so badly by the Region and the young emerging players. Very sad situation

Couldn't agree more,it's all well and good them saying that they are treating the league as it should be treated as a development platform for the scarlets but that will look a bit silly if they drop down a few divisions.

Yes it’s all due to lack of investment in decent mature semi pro players but it’s been the same tale for several years. The Scarlets board just don’t believe in the investment so the sad tale will continue all season. Soul destroying for coaches and players and supporters.

If we intend to use Llanelli as a development platform, then, in order to attract and keep promising youngsters they must be able to see some success come from their efforts. At the moment our raw youngsters have little chance of wins due to the lack of a few hard and experienced old-heads to show them the ropes against the sort of hard-headed opponents that they're likely to face in this league. I hate to think how a young prop or second row must feel after a series of hammerings. It certainly won't do their confidence much good.

I'm so pissed off reading this post. Need to win the lottery. I'd back Llanelli RFC before the Scarlets.

There are Scarlet players who should be selected for the RFC,.Develop young players, yes, but older players feeling the pace ,those who need to impress, those who need to prove a point-why not select them in the Premiership?
