Defence second half was tighter, Johnny Williams made a big impression here.
Definitely the biggest second half comeback

I'm not sure how much that's to be trusted. It states that it goes back t 2003, but none of the games listed are from before 2017. The stats for Europe state they're since 1995, but doesn't have our 14 point half-time deficit against Toulouse in 2006-07.

My point stands.

It's apparently the biggest second-half comeback in the history of the league

One question I'd ask after that game-Why didn't Johnny Williams start?

When did he come back from the Wales squad? If it was late in the week I’d imagine they were worried that he wouldn’t fit in properly but the first half display was so awful that they didn’t really have any choice at half time.

I thought they were both in Paris on matchday.

I don't buy this lack of preparation line. If one of the Scarlets centres had pulled a hammy after 2 minutes what difference would it have made? If you are fit enough for the bench you are fit enough to start.

It didn't look to me that Rawlings was fit-as a result he made some very uncharacteristic handling errors.
Same as you,GPR-I don't buy it either.

Johnny was only made available on Friday after being told he wasn’t needed to travel to France..He only trained once but the Scarlets had already picked their side before knowing he was available..IMO I would have picked him then if he wasn’t available we could then change things

This is not the first time that the Scarlets haven't rushed a player that's been with Wales back into the Scarlets team, stating "He's not trained with us this week". But surely when we're desperately short of quality / experienced players for important games it's needs must. On the other hand if Wales are urgently short of a player in a certain position, many times over the decades they've pulled a player from outside the squad and put him straight into the team. We always seem reluctant as a club to do this.

It was bonkers not to have Jake,Halfers, Johnny in the starting XV , and possibly Ryan .To  not have two such quality Internationals in  the 23, was madness . It so nearly cost us dearly.

Johnny played like he had a point to prove, great to see from the lad. He’s played very few minutes since signing. Hopefully we’ve got Ball for this weekend, I’m going to miss him!

He did indeed - easily his best performance for us, I think... agree about Jake too, of course.

it's a universal practice now that the team is picked early in the week and prepared for the game from that point onwards. So if a player becomes available later, he doesnt make the XV. One can argue about the effectiveness of last weeks preparations but as the proactice is universal in the rugby world, there must be an advantage to it.

If we played that game again this weekend, I would be quite content to keep the same starting XV.  I doubt we would ever implode in the first half again like we did last week.
