Pimp, did Deke Leonard play in Man at some point? Caught them and Budgie live in Salisbury, in the 70s.

I remember the Zoo TV tour. Visually brilliant as well. Coldplay easiest the best live act I've seen. 3rd time this June. It's visually and musically amazing. Enjoyed the Stereophonics a few times and the Pet shop boys last year were good. Paul Mcartney a few years ago the best set list. It went on forever.

So many to choose from.
My uncle used to take me round the Rhondda in his old escort mk1 (bluelined) rally car blasting Sabbath for all to hear - one of my earliest memories. The other uncle used to play me Quo ![]() ![]() For all that, I was the bassist in a Llanelli punk band - Stickman. I wanted to play metal!

Saw Graham Gouldman in Buxton when I was up there the week before last. Not many turned out, but the snow was 6 inches deep around the town centre. He was very good, it was an accoustic evening. He's doing a short tour, it may have ended now. Sadly I never saw Focus at their height. Saw them about 12 years ago at St David's Hall, without Jan Akkermnan of course. Have seen Akkerman live many times, and he really is an astounding guitarist. For me it is a hard one to decide. Akkerman or Knopfler ? Both supreme musicians, and both play some wonderful melodies. Only saw DS once at the old National Stadium in 92 on the 'On every Street' tour. Since then I've seen Knopfler many a time, usually at the CIA. Wonderful memories.

Yes Deke was in and out of Man , it was a great combo...with Martin Ace , Terry Willians etc. Deke also formed Iceberg, another popular band. A great musician Deke and a legend of Llanelli music.

Great that someone's mentioned Focus. I remember seeing them live on the Whistke Test for the first time. It's correct to say that Ackerman was talented, with such a great technical ability. Missed.
