I'm sure that Auckland are not too happy about losing someone of this calibre.

Croeso, Wayne.

Mind you, you're not getting an easy ride at Meet the Coaches.

Our current forwards coach is joining Bristol. Although any excuse to get rid of Mark Jones.....

Not local-fresh ideas.
Doubt he'll be soft on those underperforming.
Supposed to be good at technicalities at the breakdown-something we need work on.
Best of all-not a forwards coach, so there's another announcement to come (hopefully near this level).
I know we've announced him as Assistant Coach but my interpretation of the article was that he will be our forwards coach? Easterby said about his "expertise as a proven forwards coach"? I could be wrong but that's how I took it!

Simon said on Radio Wales that Pivac would concentrate on the forwards and the breakdown.

A very welcome addition to the back room staff who should help Simon a lot.

Very refreshing to think that the board are casting their net as far as NZ in search of personnel.

I hope he has as much 'pull' with players in NZ as Lam has in Connacht!!

I'm a bit concerned about this, not sure we should be signing a coach who may not share the 'Scarlet ethos'...........

Very pleased with this! As good an appointment as we could have hoped considering the role, our finances and the battle with the WRU.

Just need a couple of number 8s now....
