The man is a legend. Played hundreds of games for Llanelli, number 8, lock, captain, during Llanelli's recent greatest years. The guy was phenominal, a huge player not just physically but his alround presence. He was awesome at getting the team motivated, not to mention the fans. I can recall countless number of times, that after scoring, Phil would make his way back to the half way line for kick off, raising his arms and geeing up everyone in the ground with the old war call "Cmonnnnnn" After he stopped playing, he went to Leeds as their coach and look what he did there. Leeds had a rugby union team!? They did after Big Phil took the reigns, he took them from the bottom of the English League, to they're premier league in consecutive seasons and winning them the PowerGen Cup. The guy must be a stategical genius. He has coached players into becoming world class internationals, Simon Easterby, Alix Popham (man I should of done some research before posting ). What im trying to say is, what better man would you want as coach of the Scarlets ? Phil Davies is one of the greatest Scarlets ever and has proven himself as a top class coach. Scarelts have to sign him, if not possibly Laurance Delaney
