It's the same with pay rises. Give it to the working class and inflation rises ....its bollocks and yet this rabid corrupt mob waste billions, pocket millions they are not entitled too....screw the Country over with that blonde haired muppet and when you look at how the rich, silver spooned toffs and arseholes control this Country it will never change.....William the Conquer started the rot and this bunch lead by a midget dress size 8 billionaire will eventually screw every person who actually do the 12 hour shifts on days and nights on minimum wage....and the Press reinforce the view that the working class are a greedy bunch who should still be going up chimneys , be servants and subservience to anything that has a privileged birth.
I was born working class and I want everyone to live a good live not beg and beg and beg...

It's not rocket science it's like Royal mail...all the crap printed about losing 1 million a day.....they made 743 million pound profit but instead of investing it ...in the business and workforce they gave all of it to their greedy poxy shareholders.  So the 1 million loss is utter crap led by a guy who wants to wipe clean the current contracts that our father's fought for for zero contract monkey's with no sick pay or any benefits.  When you don't  believe the press ie the gaslighting BBC etc and peer under the surface the new owner consortium of another foreign country money making crap...just wants to sell it all off...again this poxy corrupt government are allowing it.

The NHS my son crashed his Mazda MX5 on black ice, car upside down bit of a mess...he is in RAF on leave....take him to Morriston Hospital he has been involved in a RTA...books in as urgent had to wait 18 hours just to be seen...a lady in a wheelchair had already waited 23 hours and she still hadn't been seen......its a disgrace unless your private which is again what this corrupt tories/robbers want. After waiting 10 hours for treatment and more and more people coming in from more RTA...he decided to go back to his RAF base for treatment and eventually ended up in Bangor hospital with Sepsis...if you voted for this government we'll done.....what a way to treat our people and our servicemen..

Interesting to note the UK Govt response to the Scottish Parliament passing the Transgender Rights bill today. Whatever anyone's opinions on the bill itself, the UKG is threatening to unilaterally overrule the Scottish Govt. Of course, if they do that it'll end up in court. Last time the UKG took the SG to court, polls for Scottish Independence put on an extra 5%. They'll go past 60% if the UKG goes down this road. There's a saying in indy circles ... Unionists will be the death of the Union.

Always raised a chuckle with me! They seem to be doing their damnedness to kill the UK. There's a book called "The Breakup of Britain" by Tom Nairn. Written in the early 80's. He compared the UK with the old States of Europe that broke up during the mid nineteenth to twentieth centuries that gave way to many of the modern Nation States. The complaints back then were of economic inequality, the desire to improve economic conditions and the lack of democracy. At the time, the British Empire was at its zenith ... Scotland and Wales were doing very well economically from their participation in it. Over the course of the twentieth century, the Empire waned and eventually passed. The UK economy changed dramatically and particularly in Wales where inequality has become embedded. The doctrine of the supremacy of the House of Commons has come to the fore with the Eurosceptic wing of the Tories wrestling control of their party. This is all very much wrapped up with sovereignty. Theirs is a vision of a single British Nation with the Commons being the sovereign parliament. That, in and of itself, is a pernicious nationalism. For a British pluralist such as myself it is an anathema. For the record, I am in favour of a British Union ... just not on current terms. It might surprise people but this was Gwynfor Evans' vision. He called it a "Brittanic Union." The model I favour is the Confederal model. Here's one quite well formed proposal:

It's probably a bit too close of a union for Yes Cymru members, but it's one I could live with. I think it's the sort of compromise that could win broader support.

Interesting read , and the change called for is probably now the last chance before the ultimate breakup , which personally I feel is inevitable...one aspect that it don't cover ,which in my view affects Wales more than Scotland is the fact that the power of England to vote to leave the union ...I see a big change of the regions of England for some type of devolution added to comments WinkI've heard of how a lot of English people annoyed that we have free prescriptions and free car parking ....comments like it shouldn't be allowed and general soundbites of who the hell do the Welsh think they are ...If P.R is not introduced after the next election we will see another Tory government at Westminster and I feel that things for Wales will be a lot worse....a lot of lines have been crossed in the last 3 years ...the model is broken and the Facist in Tufton street are probably planning to reintroduce Victorian levels of public services , poverty and , suffering ......and I've used an Oxford comma , because I don't care Wink

You've touched on something there Oracle. The re-emergence of English national identity post Empire. Richard Wyn Jones has a book out on it. It's a significant political factor now. Putting everything together, it seems to me to be futile to try to impose a singular centralised British national identity. It just doesn't work. We have our historic nations and we have a broader cultural identity. Any British Union has to reflect that. Trouble is, the Tories and Labour go for a political 💩 or bust approach on account of their mindset wrt power. I'm reminded of Yeats: "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold."

I've always remembered a statement my deceased father used to say ....as an ex Swansea player ( I know , it's a family shame of biblical proportion) and he also did a bit of reffing.....his mantra was always

'If you don't kick the man when he's down ....you might not get the chance when he gets up ....Typical scrum half and a guy who fell out of love with rugby when they removed the rucking from a base of ruck...

Now would be a very good time to kick the Tories into touch. It is a source of enormous frustration to me that the Labour leadership are refusing to countenance PR and that they've put such a weak and incoherent constitutional reform proposal forward. The UK's lobsided constitution and electoral system is precisely what gives the Tories their power. Take it away from them! Trouble is, the likes of Starmer are seduced by it themselves.

My old man was a hooker. Was a pupil of Carwyn James. Went on to teach and coached football and cricket at schools level. Was very successful. 3 things he said he learned from the great man was, drill fitness and skills, select a team not individuals and think - play what's in front of you.
