Here’s something that will be a pleasant read; thoughts and views from Deacon Manu.

Happy reading. There’s some stuff in there that’s ideal for use in recruitment.

Lovely guy..... gentle giant and a great read and his warmth for the Scarlets shines through and that's why the adoration from us is openly given, wore the Jersey with pride and understands the supporters and club ethos .....timely and very welcome.

Thanks Deacs

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

Thanks Steve, for posting that , and thanks loffty for the lovely response.
Deacon was a real total 100% player and loyal clubman.
Not a top scrummager, but his all round contribution was very valuable .

Its interesting how he pinpoints that the economic factors that have blighted our progress, going back to time of Phil and Nigel Davies.
Llanelli (is its supporting region) is small and not financially affluent, and that together with the lack of vision from WRU, particularly under ROGER LEWIS(stadium debt first, everything else 4th or 5th down the line).

Well done to Steff Thomas for this. He’s doing some great stuff on old players.
