That's a very shoddy piece from the Scarlets I'm afraid.

Best of luck to the young man, I'll watch how he progresses with interest.
Some un-neccesary and churlish points in this release.

Think it's fair enough... Seems to have come to a shock to the club and they feel they've been shafted a bit.

Easters is not happy it would seem.... Might prove difficult to pick owen during the remaining games with such a public statement of discontent on record.

they shouldn't leave things so late with regards to contracts etc;the days when people wanted to play for the scarlets because of their reputation are long gone it's all down to money and the devils spawn agents.

Do you really think the agent has said "yeah, sign early with the Scarlets and we'll get a great deal" or "let's see all the offers on the table"? We've been bummed over here by an agent looking for the biggest pile of cash.

We do leave it too late with contract negotiations but that will be down to lack of funding and balancing the budget between keeping our best players and signing our he's young players. I've said it here before, unless the WRU and Regions get their heads together then we will lose our best talent and become a development ground for English and French clubs

isn't derwyn his agent and steve shinglers? maybe there's a conflict of interest there on derwyn's part.

shame either way....wish owen all the best & hopefully he'll return one day to the region.

Agents -the swear word of football -is now well and truly with us! It seems the manner of the departure is the issue here and has clearly angered Easters, when he wasjust awarded our new number 1 fly half so cannot possibly argue he was overlooked or taken for granted by the Scarlets ,but if he doesnt have the commitment to what the region has given him  then let him go. I dont know Williams as a person but he might be a Steve Shingler mark two ie young and overconfident with a lot to learn as a man to respect, although integrity is a rare breed these days. Also remember he missed wto straightforward kicks last time and his bubble was bound to burst ,so lets not get overexcited about the loss. He certainly will not get much TLC from Cockerill if he doesnt measure up!

I personally think this is a bad move for Williams. He would have probably been first choice with the Scarlets next season with Rhys being with Wales. Poor move!
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1
