Can the Irish stop them in Dublin next week? It's certainly possible but the Irish look like an ageing team that's fast running out of ideas and confidence.
Scotland, I'm afraid, could be annihilated tomorrow.

Just hoping Scottish guts and pride will help a bit.

Don't see England losing any of last two.

Doesn't anyone just have a sneaky feeling that the Scotts could spring a HUGE surprise at Twickenham tomorrow?? English are either over-confident or doom and gloom.  What price for a 4 point win for Scotland??

Because there's one thing the Italians can normally match sides with is the set piece. This England side look usefull and I already feel they have a number of players who can make decisions on the field and not have to wait till they get told by the coaches. They have players fighting for possession of the shirt which gives them options everywhere except in their centre combinations.

On paper yes. When it comes to one off games any team is beatable on the day.

I agree with the comments, you never know in a game,England should win comfortably on current form, but you never know, that's why we watch it.
Predicting a comfortable win, just hope I'm right, got the Italy one wrong and the Wales one right yesterday.
As for Ireland, well they probably won't be as bad at home will they and they , like oour other celtic cousins all love to put one over the English(what does saes mean exactly?)

English.

From Saesneg in the Welsh language.

Which is probably derived from "Saxon"

A lot of media seem to be drawing comparisons today with the 1990 game at Murrayfield. That's way off the mark.

In 1990, both teams were going for the slam and Scotland had a decent team with the likes of the Hastings brothers, Gary Armstrong, John Jeffery, Finlay Calder and Derek White. In 2011, England are chasing the slam with an ever-improving side and Scotland are rubbish. The plight of Scottish rugby is a sad aspect of the modern game. Even the once mighty Murrayfield is now devoid of any passion and atmosphere.

I know any side has a chance on a given day but 99.9 per cent of my instinct tells me England will win by 20 or more. It could get very messy if England put a few tries on the board early doors.

But I hope I'm wrong.

Neither am I, Kcreg. The only game they've won convincingly was the Italian match.
I can honestly smell an Irish win next weekend. And my heart wouldn't bleed if that did happen.

Well we won, ugly, exciting in places, but poor passing let both sides down.We go to Dublin with confidence, but I'm sure Johnno will be expecting more next weekend,if Tindalls out injured and we start with Croft as well,I'm sure a win is on the cards.
Scotland rucked well, but Ireland prefer to keep the player off the ground and maul, which will suit England I think.

Saesneg is the welsh word for English the literal translation is Saxon so still to this day we call the English saxons. Strange really i thought this was Common knowledge

The geezer is an enigma. He's either a match-winner with the boot or a complete liability. There's no halfway house with the bloke but I think Robinson put him on because it was very tight and Parks could have kicked Scotland to victory.
Brian Moore's description of his howler of a drop-goal was hysterical. Ole Brian was on top form this afternoon.
But I can't agree that Scotland were unlucky. The English try was always going to come. What Scotland were was very brave. Their loosehead had a cracking match in the loose and Richie Gray looks like a Lions second row in waiting.
For England, Cueto had a good match and Haskell played well. Who had MOTM? I had to leave just before the end.

Outstanding player but that Wood guy has done nothing wrong. Good strength in depth there for England.

Paterson was the difference for Scotland,he scored points made breaks and try saving tackles,it seemed to give confidence to those around. However if Foden had lept like a chubby swallow he might have crash landed in.

Aye he looks a great prospect but I wonder if he has any dog about him? Any Lions tourist in the pack needs to be able to mix it. I'd be interested in seeing how he goes when the going gets a bit nasty.

So it looks as though Tindall is out and Banahan in,not sure about Banahan, but he's a big lump who has been scoring tries for fun with Barf.I guess he could pull in an extra tackler if he has ball in hand, offering the possibility of an overlap if he can offload as well as bosh.

Started his rugby career in the 2nd row - then some lunatic thought he'd make a good winger !!

Maybe we can do the same with Lou and Dom to make room for the 2 x psychopaths that Nige has signed for next season. Wacko Evil Smile  Thumbs Up

Banahan has an excellent forearm smash - surprised the citers didn't ban him!

As for the grand slam - England are favourites, but Ireland are at home and can turn them over - let's hope they do.

The English have not won a slam since 2003 - not that you would realise this from the torrent of bullshit they use to build up their team at the start of every season...Thumbs Down
