Subject: Scarlet shirts around the world.
Date Posted: 19 June 2011 at 9:09pm
Holiday time is fast approaching. I have over the years seen Scarlet shirts in places far and wide.
I thought it would be a nice touch to have some pictures of our shirts been worn in places far and wide. It does not have to be a recognisable landmark but great if it is. I bet that members already have loads of these to get the thread going.

PS My intentions  of course are honourable but for the benefit of us mature members who are proud they can use a keyboard!! Can someone in laymans terms explain how you can post pictures on here from your own computer photo files.Confused

Thats the spirit!!  Hope your not wearing socks with sandles.

Have found a couple of rugby venue ones but alas I'm struggling to reduce the size of the photo onto a jpeg format. Never said I was clever!

Try and try again!!!

This was taken at the Le Louis D'or Basque Bar in Paris at luchtime last May 2010 for the HC final between Biarritz and Toulouse. Only 4 hours to go till kick off!! What a day and night. The Biarritz supporter with the 'man shoulder bag' who lives in Switzerland is now the proud owner of my Green Scarlets top.

As I think I may have got the hang of this, take note Mr Chips!!
This one was also taken outside the Le Louis D'or in Paris before the HC final 2010. You will see me in the doorway of the pub still the proud owner of my Green Scarlets top. Look at the size of this ex Biarritz - Tongan player who has retired and lives in the Biarritz and is an adopted Basque!! He was huge by Giant standards.
A bouns point will be awarded if anyone can identify by postcard or PM the Blues fan sitting at the front of the 'rowing boat'?

Tell you what though, the ways things are with money and 2nd rows. Perhaps we can get everybody to check their holiday wallets for Euros and I'll see if I can get the retired Biarritz-Tongan lump to help us out and play for us during the WC!!LOL

Smile Aye, it was a hire car - Alamo.

Anyone going to Florida, and 'doing the Parks'; best tip I can give is  - take a flag.  When your searching acre after acre of car park, looking for a car which looks exactly the same as every other car; the flag makes the difference between a 5 minute search and a 50 minute search.  Star

You will not believe how long it has taken me to work out how to do this. Twp I think it was called!
My little trip to the Wild West, never had a picture on my horse at the ranch with my Scarlets shirt but above is
Left - Outside the William Cody Museum (Buffalo Bill) in Cody Wyoming.
Right - Behind me believe it or not is 'Old Faithfull' in Yellowstone Park. A bit of an anti cimax but the rest of Yellowstone Park was superb. To be fair you wait ages for it to steam off so this was taken when it nearly finished otherwise I would have been facing the wrong way and missed it myself!!!

Turns out the Liquid Pro tops the shop was punting out cheap a couple of seasons ago are ideal jerseys for the discerning professional Mountain Biker. All the pros wear them - Timmy Tanktop, Rodney 'The Bike' Uranus, Big Derek Backshaft etc.

gutted you can't see the Scarlets logo or anything, but you can see a bit of the shirt on the bottom right corner of this great picture.
Round about where Martin Luther King stood and made his famous ... "I have a dream ... that one day ... the Scarlets will win the Heineken Cup!" speech.
