Great live, I Saw them supporting Jesus and Mary Chain in '91, also on the bill were Dinosaur Jr and Blur opening up (Blur were terrible, as they were for the rest of their career).

I would have loved to have seen that gig. Dinosaur Jr, along with the Mary chain I bet that gig went down a treat!

Can't wait for 2 new releases though.

Trying to get hold of their original vinyl is hard work though!

I know a few of their EPs are on eBay. Loveless is a bit pricey though!! But you made me realise, what a superb track. One MBVs finest.

The EPs were released on a couple of LPs released last year (probably a tonne cheaper than buying them of eBay too):  http://www.diversevinyl.com/item.php?id=35db980bb1b15e45e77d97420610c3fe" rel="nofollow - http://www.diversevinyl.com/item.php?id=35db980bb1b15e45e77d97420610c3fe

Cheers PJ. Didn't know that. I still have not been to diverse in Newport. Where is it? In the town centre? I only know the train station to where TJs was and Todney Parade! My knowledge of Newport is rubbi[beep]

I saw the Glider EP not so long ago, original...was going for £57!

It's a good place to be fair. Knowledgeable staff and decent prices on records (seems like vinyl has sky rocketed in price everywhere!). It's on Charles Street which is outside the city centre; if you can't get there, they do a mail order service anyway. Keeping it local and all that jazz.

£57?! Jeepers. Give it a few months and the MBV records will drop in price on eBay. Everyone is going mental for them now so it's a seller's market. They reissued the CDs last year - why they didn't do the same on LP I don't know.

Have they announced any UK gigs? They're at Primavera Sound in May, so I'll see them there.

Ye they announced a little uk tour to warm up to some festival they headlining in Japan. I looked at the dates and due to work! Gutting! If I remember right, I think the dates were mid January, but I wouldn't swear to it.

I have bought the new album already though, Vinyl, CD and MP3 bundle for £18. Bargain.

will make a purchase or 2 online from diverse, but I'll have to visit there. Can't beat browsing a record shop for a vinyl.

My vinyl and CD package arrived today.

I've listed to the album 3 or 4 times (off of the download) and thought it pretty good straight off. But with MBV, this may not be a good thing.

My exact same package arrived yesterday. Have not listened to the download or cd yet, but the vinyl is superb. it is obviously not as good as loveless, but the album is a fine follow up.

I really like the album, and listening to an analog recorded album on vinyl really does make a difference. classic album it may not be, but it is a damn fine record and better than majority of 2012 releases but possibly the finest release so far in 2013, in my humble opinion!
