Not bright but just blindly arrogant to "know" England will win.

He's reneged on the bet citing the referee. Dick.

Respectfully suggest he be directed to a good legal team and pray he's insured.
Maybe someone would supply free change of address cards to Carey Street.

Remember what happened when people retweeted false allegations on paedophilia.
Twitter is not like a playground bet between under 10s, the record is there and can't be taken back. Doubt his tweet could've contained any get out clauses either given character limit.

Not sure you can prosecute the mentally disabled.

PS I do apologise for this comment: it's quite offensive to the mentally disabled to be compared to Healey.

I share your view.
However, pride comes before a fall and something like he put out today has its consequences.

Baz, like the intro. I bought the dummy & was shocked to see you seem to be offering a form of mitigation in defence. You've got your charitable hat on.

Thanks.
A bit like the pitch in Cardiff & Paris, he could well be on dodgy ground.
Not a huge loss for someone in his position - less than £3,000.
He'd be better advised to pay up than risk losing a law case & the associated costs. Plus maybe some well publicised humiliating forfeit could be added in too.

I read once (after a bookie had refused to pay out to a punter) that betting debts are unenforcable. I'm sure it's on Google somewhere.

Healy loses his credibility with this. Not that it will deter the gobshite, of course.
He will continue to seek the oxygen of publicity next season.
What a dreadful man.

Aren't people taking this a bit too seriously?

Haven't seen the exact comment myself but surely it was just something intended to wind us up so you're giving him the reaction he was after?

The guy's just a caricature and I wouldn't treat anything he says with any value let alone rise to it.

Tony Greig once said he'd make the WIndies grovel.
Grieg had the good grace to grovel on live TV to the world.
A gesture like that is Healey's least cost get out.

Yes, far too seriously but I think the western mail saw an opportunity to embarrass this idiot whilst forcing him to eat his words. Rather than e a serious legal challenge its a case of calling his bluff so he thinks twice next time. Besides - why waste the chance to get one over this twerp.

He's hilarious in some of the lions videos. Seems a good laugh to me but does take things too far in the public eye

Correct, not legally enforceable.  Regardless the blokes a grade one muppet.  He should take a leaf from the book of likes of Jerry Guscott as an ex player, now a pundit, who knows how to conduct himself properly and put his brain in gear before opening his mouth.
Nothing new from the 'Leicester Lip' though.  Look what happened on the last Lions tour to Aus, winding up 'the plank' Justin Harrison, who just happened to beat Martin Johnson to a line out to end one of the tests with an Aus win.
The more he's ignored the less we'll hear from him.
