The idea behind free NHS tickets is for thanks to them during the past 18 months. In that case Scarlets really should have included not only the other emergency services but also many other key workers, be you paid or unpaid carers, drivers , shop workers and so on.
Of course going down that road would open up a can of worms in so much of needing to see proof of one's entitlement. Which is, I'm guessing, why Scarlets didn't go the whole hog. And if this is the case then they really shouldn't have gone exclusively with the NHS in the first place. All in it together?

How do you suppose they organise that. Just be grateful they have done something for some of the frontline workers in a time where it is very difficult for businesses.

Unfortunately you can't expect the scarlets to manage that.

It was a great thought that they thought of the NHS and allowed them free tickets for the first game but unfortunately there's no way you can manage and organise that. They may aswel just say free tickets to everyone for the game Sunday. Which I'm sure after a year of no business they can not afford.

If they went wider than NHS staff it would open a can of worms and some discontent, including the 4500 or so season tickets holders who have paid for a year with it seems no complaints about this offer to the NHS . Right decision taken and in any event with the best of intentions.

I be happy if they  changed giving free tickets to different  sectors for each game. The n h s get all the attention but no one ever mentions the shop workers, the on line delivery drivers, the food bank workers and delivers, the bin men(Who actually collected our tissues, wipes  etc), police, firemen, the list goes on but for some reason only the nhis get recognition.

The reason is fairly clear, in that the majority of staff employed by the NHS are dealing directly with the pandemic and its effects.I would agree that care home staff should be rewarded like the NHS staff.
I for one salute the club for its gesture and we should all be proud of what the board stands for.
Enough said.

There’s something inherently wrong with Welsh rugby where fans expect something for nothing, or feel slighted when they miss out.

This is a nice gesture by the club to thank NHS workers, but even that isn’t good enough for some. Incredible really. All front line workers deserve huge praise, none more so than care workers, but to have a dig about this gesture towards the NHS is poor form.

We have heard people complaining about this sort of thing in the news and social media. It’s the “ what about me “ society and “ it’s not fair because I work hard as well “ etc  I’m going to really complain today to the club because I gifted last year’s season ticket as did my wife to the club and we have bought new season tickets this year whilst those people in the NHS got paid full wages and have a secure job !! “ what about me and my loyalty? It’s not fair! Why can’t I invite a couple of family members to a game for free”  ?!!! 🤨   ( This is not what I am going to do but it reflects parts of society . I applaud the scarlets for what they did and the NHS )

I'm classed as a key worker due to the line of business that I work in, and I don't work for the NHS. I wouldn't expect to be offered a free ticket.

Same here. There’s some very bitter people out there who don’t get the concept behind the NHS thing.
