Really gutted to hear news this morning that long-term poster RedZep has passed away.

Mick was a top bloke. Funny, witty, always had time for chat, and i'm sure everyone within the Scarlet faithful that knew him will miss seeing him at PYS or away trips.
Very sad at such a young age and my thoughts and condolences go to the family.

What??? That’s a hell of a shock . Worked in Milford Haven and loved his motor bike. I saw him not so long ago at a Scarlets game. Awful sad news ☹️

Absolutely far too soon to go. It was a huge pleasure to have met him and he added to life whenever he was around. Our condolences go to his family and all friends.

Really, really sad to hear this news. I spent many happy hours in his company all over Europe and he was a huge part of Scarlets life for me. I first met him on here. I was working in Coventry at the time and I thought I would be quite safe [beep]ging the place off on SF. Shortly afterwards I got a PM. I shall raise a glass to my old mate tonight. RIP Mick

So sad to hear about Mick this morning, first met him many years ago in the Kingsholm Inn before an away game, and like many supporters have enjoyed his company on many trips since. He was great company and a top man. Will be really missed. RIP Mick.

The family sat in front of us for a season in the North Stand . Used to spend half his time devotedly looking after the then little Ollie and sorting him out with food as the endless toilet trips that kids always seem to want! A West Midlander originally and a very central part of the supporters especially away trips. Still can’t believe this sad news.

Devastating news  this morning.  Mick was  a devoted supporter ,who  travelled  far  and  wide to follow the  Scarlets.   He was  always great company.  I sat next to him on the bus up  and back to Glasgow,  and  that's my abiding  memory of him.    Thinking of  young  Olly  and  all his friends and  family.  Sleep well my friend  . This is just awful news.
A real rugby man that felt right at home supporting a real rugby club.
Leaves a lot of great memories.

Take a short pop pass off the 10, and crash through them pearly gates.
RIP fella.

Absolutely gutted hearing this news. I had very similar experiences of chatting with him as many others have said.

We always chatted about bikes. Always with the notion on maybe one day doing a trip.

Condolences to his family and friends at this awful time.

That's so sad. What a guy, an ever present on so many trips.

It was good to catch up with him at the Nottingham game but it was clear he'd been through so much health-wise

Jeez, we're losing some absolute top people 😟

Incredibly sad news. Mick was as kind and hard a man you’ll ever meet, who always made time for a chat be it on the refinery, at a game or on the shant. Condolences to the family. RIP Brother.

Don't recall meeting the gentleman but may well have had the pleasure of his company during trips to Limerick, Toulon or Clermont. Very sad news indeed to lose another of the Scarlets family. Sympathy to the family.

Another one of our Scarlet Family gone far too soon. Condolences to family and friends. Just a top bloke, that always greeted you with a smile and a friendly handshake. This is shining through I believe, his warmth and friendship for so many fellow Scarlets. RIP Mick.

So sad to hear the news of Mick.  We got on really well from the first time we met.  We always had a good chat at both home and away games.  He was as one-eyed as they come, which is as huge a compliment that I can make to a Turk.  LOL

He'll be very missed by Karen and myself, along with many others, who got to enjoy the pleasure of Mick's company, personality, and humour.

Just in case you are reading this Mick,  I hope they serve decent beer where you are, and raise a glass, because that's what we'll all be doing for you.

Big love from us. x

Unfortunately, Karen and I are both unable to attend the funeral, as Karen will be in Ramsgate visiting family, and I have an appointment in Swansea at the same time which I can't get out of.

A great tribute from Bill. In another article on the website (Indoor Cricket - 6th December 2021) it mentions that there was a minute's silence prior to the game between Neyland and Narberth, which I was part of. I played cricket against Mick when he was with Narberth and, prior to that, Hook. He'll be remembered very fondly in Pembrokeshire cricketing circles.

From the comments on here, Mick lived life to the full and did a lot of good, put smiles on faces, in people’s hearts.

It can be easy to remain on the sidelines and not get involved.

Life is for living and Mick’s example of widespread kindness and fun has much to be recommended.
