It’s Chris Long and the rest ( whoever they are). At least Quins get a British Lion 🤔

Could 11 be one of the Fijian trialists we had during preseason?

Hope the Llanelli front row are up for it. In last season's match Aberavon's front row were relentless and won penalty after penalty giving Llanelli no chance, and in the end their backs were also totally dominant. If the front row can be more competitive then Llanelli look to have a much stronger side out today.

In fairness Ken is a Carmarthen boy and probably means a lot to put something back to his home town.

Shaun Evans played for the RFC at hooker, so fair enough.

Sounds like the boys won it at the death v Ponty!

They played well on the whole, momentum swung back and forth and when we were 12 points behind, I did feel like a comeback was unlikely. Fought back well!

The 10,000 fans that pack into Sardis will be gutted! Good to see few Scarlets players fed into the team as well. We have had so many beatings there in recent years so this is especially satisfying

Having to “congratulate “ as is the custom, the Ponty Committee on a number of occasions when we lost was difficult . They didn’t seem the force they were certainly at home. First appearance of the season for Captain Tom Phillips as well . Very pleased 👍

My friend and I travelled up for the game at Ponty.
Not my favourite destination, so despite our pack having an experienced look, doubts remained.
I needn't have worried, as RFC put up a spirited show.
After losing, at the death in Carmarthen, IT WAS SO GOOD TO COME AWAY WITH A WIN.
Let's hope this win, does the lads a power of good. Confidence is everything.

Hope it's a good game to watch tonight. Llandovery with 1 Scarlets player (Iestyn Reed), Llanelli with about a dozen, including guys coming back from injury and/or needing game time.
Good to see the Scarlets starting to realize that the RFC has a value add.

Good to hear that, for me thats exactly what the likes of Llandovery & Llanelli should be made up of.

Great to see Scarlets boys involved. Cardiff did the same with their RFC last season.

Another heavy defeat for the RFC against a very good Llandovery outfit.

7 or 8 Scarlets pros/development players in the RFC side tonigh,  the cupboard is certainly bare re development players coming through, apart from the odd one or two.

Haven’t watched many RFC games this season, but watched the game away in Carmarthen whereby we had 11 pro/development players in the side and we still lost to the worst Quins side I’ve seen in the Prem.

I actually meant Llandovery are a semi pro team that occasionally have a regional player, the Scarlets are playing guys that’s primary purpose is to service the region/Scarlets.
Results usually predicted.

Ebbw Vale is delighted to announce the signing of young experienced back row Ryan Jenkins from Llanelli RFC. Ryan will add further experience to the Ebbw Vale back row after playing for a season and a half with Llanelli RFC in the Welsh Premiership. Ryan played a lot of his rugby for Aberdare RFC who we have a good relationship with having both Owen and Lewis Young both join us from there.

On signing for Ebbw Vale Ryan said; “the opportunity to work with Jason and Geraint was a massive part of me coming down, and there’s a good group of lads at Ebbw Vale that made me feel welcome right away. It is also a chance to learn and improve my game under their coaching”
