Back 3 : Johnny Mac, Rogers, Conbeer, Baldwin, Steff Evans. Centres : Foxy, Scott, Eddie 10's Patchell, Dan 9's : Cawdor, Archie
Props : Steffan, Kemsley, Sam O'Connor, Harri O'Connor, Javan, WGJ. Hookers : Daf, Shaun, Taylor Rows : Louisi, Jac Price, Tom Price, Morgan Jones Back Row : Fifita, Aaron, Blade, Lezana, Shenton, Carwyn, Sione.
We are pretty depleted in the backs. I guess there is scope for guys like Blacker, Sam, Hardy, & Leigh to get to South Africa for the 2nd game if needed.

Think Jonny Williams may be available.
Dan Davis, Phil Price, Ioan Nicholas, Helps are available too I think. Alex Jeffries maybe.
Feels to me we are a bit light on depth at 9/10. Need to take 3 SH's for sure.

Jonny will help for sure. Yes normally you think you'd have 3 10's & 3 9's which is why I thought maybe re-inforcements if needed after first game. Otherwise it would probably be Harri Williams & Josh Phillips.

Think the Scarlets would do well to heed Wil's warnings about the increase in Covid both in East Africa & South Africa. Some cast iron assurances need to be sought if not already secured.

Pretty sure the rules were all boxed off pre season, but of course it's worth checking in again. I did let the club know separately.
Nothing to suggest anything will change but these guys memories of Covid/South Africa/15 nights in a motel in Northern Ireland must still be pretty fresh!

Pretty fresh & raw I would suggest. Any vague assurances & I would not hesitate to concede the games. We can't allow these lads to go through that again. Our URC season is as good as over as far as qualification goes - any nonsense again in South Africa would put paid to any chance we had in Europe however slim.

Yes, but to more or less empty stadiums and still tough restrictions there at the time.
You don't need even need to be vaccinated to get in these days.

I had it mapped out mate. Air Bnb jut back from the V&A for 3 nights, tickets for the game in the bag...Wales v Australia at the Ferryman's on Saturday afternoon....then make a judgement whether people could tell I was Welsh before the England South Africa game later...:)

A perfect day by the sound of it Wil. I wouldn't have worried about the Welshness thing - having seen you jumping about when Wales scored against the Aussies with a few tinnnies on board you would have become an honorary Bokker.

Good shot at it...actual squad just out..30 going --18 forwards and 12 backs... From the backs it's Ioan and not Eddie...all the others as above..
From the forwards Phil Price for Sam O'Connor, Jac Price is out, and we didn't take Shenton, Morgan , but did include Dan Davis.
Someone better than me can post the squad!
With 9 days between the games we cna fly out players if anyone goes down.

We can pull a decent side out of that squad. I just hope we can perform like a team that wants to win

Can Ioan Nicholas also play 9 or 10 because there is no room for any injury to those travelling?

I’m guessing the Costelow could be released by Wales to make the 2nd game, Blacker too. Just guessing mind.

All our Internationals will be back at PYS on 28th November. Anyone needed for the Lions game on 4th December can travel that week I guess.

We are pretty bare bones at 2nd row with only Sam & Tom for me genuine 2nd rows. Of course we have Fifita, Blade & Aaron who can do a job if needed. As you pointed out we are risking it at 9/10 so hopefully no knocks in training this coming week.

I take it that Jac Price is injured but is Morgan Jones also injured? If not,and Peel prefers Tom Price, then along with picking Dan Jones in front of Patchell, it's beginning to look as if Peel is allowing personal clashes to come in front of the performance of the Scarlets.

You'd imagine Dane Blacker will be itching to get pitch time and prove a few things.

Patchell and Morgan Jones haven’t really impressed in the minutes they’ve had so I wouldn’t jump to that conclusion.

I think I'd agree. Morgan is a specimen, but has yet to put in a notable shift/make a big impact in the last season or two.
He should have had the shirt before either Price, but Jac has just applied himself more, and Tom is ok ( Jac is out for a few weeks ). Just my opinion.
He has so much promise, and only 23 means he has time to break through.
