MOTD was rubbish without commentary....just watching a game with the crowd noise was incredibly boring.....

So Gary has in effect gone back to his role with no apology given....

Bit of a embarrassment all this tbh.

Yes, very badly handled by the BBC.  I don’t believe that they expected such a backlash from the public and for other presenters to walk out in solidarity with Lineker.
Perhaps they will consider this the next time they act hastily at the request of the Tory Party.

So what have we learned? The beeb is run by an ex tory candidate and bojos financier. Lineker will carry on with some controversial tweeting, but it may limit his ability to present political / historical bbc shows ... wright and shearer are loyal pals and MOTD lives on

Lineaker is contracted not employed , he has his own company ..which could supply his experience to any potential company

Wasn’t BBC broadcasting legend Huw Edwards told off for posting pro Wales tweets a while back, ignoring the fact he’s from Llangennech and first language Welsh speaker .
