Pinging a lot of offsides, some legit, most a little harsh.

Wales discipline was a challenge this week and last though.

17-19.

All 3 Welsh tries by the props.

Excellent win by Wales Women.

MVP Tuipolotu again, but it could have gone to any of the starting front row who were still on after 79 minutes.

Final score came from a monster scrum by Wales on a Scottish put in under the Scots post. Pushed them right off their own ball. Welsh SH was a little hesitant, but it was a walk in for her at the end.

Good team performance and showed composure and discipline at the end-some good coaching going on, with receptive players

Wasn't it great to see a front row stay on for the whole game ( short of 15 seconds). They were superb.

Tuipulotu was the right call as Seren y Gem, but Pyrs was a very close second. A brace of tries each.

Scotland tackled themselves to a standstill, and to their credit they were well in it with 15 to go (mostly due to Wales' penalty count in fairness).

Ffion Lewis added a spark at SH, but also kept Wales going forward when Scotland could have snuck back in.

England next, different gravy there of course, but for now, enjoy Wales being top of the table.

Its been a hell of a weekend of rugby.
Great results , Friday and today, laced with a huge dollop of frustration !

Very happy with the final score line  in Scotland ., and its two wins from two.
There's a clear step up in physicality and also far more slick variety to the way the girls are going about their tasks.
To have someone coaching you, who has won top honours in the men's game, is a great advantage and to add Shaun O'Connor to that set up is a huge bonus.
he again is an experienced coach and was an excellent player.
Wales badly needed a kicking coach. to double up with skills. This was a huge weakness last year,
underlined in the final game in last 6N, when the Italians were happy to give away pens, knowing we didn't have an effective line kicker.
this has been rectified now and it shows.

A word for the welsh front row. Kelsey Jones , is keeping out an incredibly experienced and powerful player in Phillips  ATM, and you can see why, she has a huge engine, just keeps going.
Gwen Prys is continuing to improve and her two tries today underlined her impressive hard work.
Sisilia Tuipotu, is becoming an overnight sensation, and she is only 19.
Last year she started in the second row against England, so converting to a prop, with all the technical
demands, is a huge step, particularly at international level.
Her carrying, is so important to Wales...and she will get better and better.
This issue she will have , both against England and France, is she will face excellent and experienced loose heads, who will test her more scrum time, but Sisilia  is so strong, I am optimistic that she will be up to the challenge.

On to the negatives, sadly, where the frustration, comes in.
Wales gave away three times the numbers of penalties than Scotland, and that not good enough.
There were occasions when the ball carrier was fractionally isolated, giving the scots the opportunity to latch on create numerous turn overs.
Cunningham knows, realistically, if we replicate this error count against England, we will see a similar
to last year, when pressure in the red will lead to scores.
Pressure in any form of rugby generally yields points, but in the women's game territory is everything with 80% of scores generates from red zone pressure.

Of course the quality of opposition you face forces you in to mistakes, either in set piece or through incessant pressure. Today there were unnecessary penalties ,which was frustrating , because it gave Scotland field position , from which they scored.

A word for the Scottish girls, plenty of heart and no little skill.
They made it an uncomfortable experience for wales, and in Skeldon and Rollie , two excellent players.

Very happy for the win, very happy for the girls and particularly Ioan Cunningham.
A bit of a break now, then plenty to work on for England.
The pressure will be off, as no one expects Wales to topple the English, so let go and it with the same
positive vibe and enthusiasm,  and see where we are.
Sport can be a funny thing !!
