Don’t know how many ST holders are on here.
I’m moving my lot from S10 to S4 for next season.

We had very minimal benefits this year with it being more expensive to have a ST in some instances.
They are yet to announce benefits for the coming season so I’d like to know what everyone on here thinks and would like.

A couple things I’d like to see are;
Shop discount
Free entry to academy games
ST holders names on their seat
Some exclusive events throughout the season

What other things would people like?

This should have been done when season tickets were out not leave it up to people to suggest things. Just had a look at other teams websites and what they offer. The club should be embarrassed at how far behind they are.

Shop discount.. debenture holders were supposed to have that as part of their Interest Free loan to the Club, never materialized!! Shop blame Club, club wont comment!!
Free entry to Ac games, that was stopped for Deb holders once Llanelli RFC went PLC, they wont be in a league next season, so do you mean Free entry to C Quins & or Drovers??
Names on seat.. even if they are there, still wont stop someone initially sitting in a/your seat.

It’s all been a bit flat this time for ST launch . I don’t think that I have seen anything that states the prices will remain the same either? I just hope the club bombards the extra 4000 or so fans that joined us for the Glasgow game with “ join us” literature. I would be happy to see first time new ST applications getting half price tickets to get them hooked in to the club. Our marketing remains modestly effective

There’s been one Facebook post saying season tickets are on sale and none on Instagram…..

Thanks 👍 I’m glad that I had not missed the grand launch! It’s been poorly launched as a big event. Probably the most low profile ever? Why ? And what on earth are marketing doing? 🤨

I mean actual Academy games, 16’s East/West, 18’s Boys & Girls. All barring the girls charge entry.

I just thought names on seats is a nice personal touch which I think would go a long way with some people especially younger fans, there’s the groove on the seats there ready so it wouldn’t cost much to print out names on vinyl and stick them on. Bet you could even get volunteers to do it.

I’m just looking for others ideas, what people would actually like. I’m acting solely as an individual in my inquiry.

Why is the club so poor at communicating with people , when communication is the life blood of any sporting institution...unbelievable

Totally agree! We seem to change our marketing / commercial staff constantly or rather they leave. The model seems totally underinvested with quality people

I follow the Scarlets on the various socials and visit the forum quite regularly, I found out that my season ticket had already been renewed without my knowledge/consent only when I noticed that a direct debit had left my bank account, I emailed the ticket office last week but no reply as of yet.

The small bar with 2 young people serving in the South Stand was a shambles at the Glasgow game. Big queue, they're serving lager, cider & Guinness. Get to the front of the queue to be told, before kick off, they've run out of lager. Place our order for a couple of ciders & a Guinness to then be told mid pour they've run out of cider. I notice there's loads of barrels behind the bar which haven't been opened & politely ask them if they know how to change a barrel.

They reply they're not allowed to change a barrel & that a supervisor had to do it, at which point one of the staff say they're going to get a supervisor. Off he shuffles & returns about 5 minutes later with a supervisor & someone else (I assumed the extra person would help behind the bar) but no, he was supervising the supervisor who was changing the barrel!!

They lost out on a lot of custom through people giving up waiting & going to their seats empty handed.

they may expect us to keep on coming but if the general service is crap then what do they expect?
all round, scarlets not showing up very well commercially and customer liasons and services.
i messaged the scarlets about news this week as they said there was going to be some and i just got a sarcastic reply from the actual scarlets twitter site. not a good sign
same there if only 2 youngsters serving and they run out of alcohol knowing its a full stadium and well before kick off thats just rubbish and absolutely amateur. just feels like they dont care.
went to watch bath v saracens on saturday and total different attitude, 14 thousand crowd but easy service around the ground. plenty of food/drink and staff.

Totally agre, was a real poor showing for me. A simple message to say somethings happened & we now have to move it to next week would have done.

shows i think the attitude down there and just think we will just follow them come what may. dont think they realise how pissed off i am with them. dont treat customers like that.
2 season tickets here which at the moment i am seriously reconsidering about renewing.

The matchday experience for us at Glasgow left a bitter taste in my mouth. Our marketing & website is incredibly poor & out of date, so much so I don't even use it to look up previous results etc.

asked 1 week if there was any news last week, just messaged them at start of last week if anything coming back and to be honest they put an emoji which was sign of sarcasm. they said no news this week which i replied wise not to put stuff out if there isnt any had this which is not a reply of a professional organisation
https://twitter.com/i/status/1654104149959622661" rel="nofollow - https://twitter.com/i/status/1654104149959622661

may seem minor, but its not the way a professional organisation should reply to queries.

Just renewed both tickets for next season.  Have to say that I would be paying at least a third more if not double at Gloucester.  So I’m happy and will be travelling from Ross on Wye next season 😊

That does seem like quite a big overreaction, to be honest. They answered your query. Your reply to that answer was stating the obvious a little bit and you’ve taken offence at the gif they used to point that out. The person who sent it possibly thought you’d find it humorous rather than an attempt to belittle.

Intent and context are sometimes difficult to determine from electronic communications.

actuall mugwuffin it isnt an over reaction in any way or form. if you expect a professional organisation to run itself properly you expect proper communications and not contrite sarcastic replies to valid questions. you may think the sun shines out of everyones bottoms in PYS but this is again another poor poor action by staff there.

They should attempted to mix experience with new staff and also ensure someone is trained at all bars to change a barrel (if the later can not be done and had to remain a supervisor then at least give the staff radios so can communicate with supervisor quicker etc)

I have to agree that feels like an overreaction particularly to go as far as considering not renewing through a post of social media

Intent and content on social media is interrupted differently by all individuals and is a fine line.

Same applies to this forum, some find peoples posts offensive and others find the same post funny.

Totally agree, the guys in fairness to them did say they could change a barrel but they weren't allowed to.

Is it plausible that it wasn’t delivered? They may as well have faxed it to me. What’s wrong with email/text? Even putting something on social media. Communication over renewals were poor, there’s no escaping it.

Are there any deals for Season Memberships for the 2023-24 season?

Yes, there will be – we are currently negotiating discount deals for our Season Members and will be communicating these over the coming weeks and months before the start of the new season.

“Hi  any news today on signings/re-signings?”

Not today Steve, more news next week 👊

“no worries no news but wise not to say something that then doesn't happen”

Seems like they answered your valid question and then you stated that it is better not to announce things if they are not guaranteed to happen. That’s stating the bleeding obvious, to be fair. What response were you hoping for? A confirmation that it’s better not to count your chickens before they hatch?!

Speaking as someone who makes a large number of pointless posts, having the pointless ones called out in gif form is nothing to get too het up about!

I do indeed. First season in the CJ lounge. Was superb.  It wasn’t quiet for the Clermont match. And my missus will tell you it’s not quiet sat next to me. She threatens every match to move away unless I stop having a go at the ref.  And me a cricket umpire as well 😂

I think it’s fair to say that we could be with more monitors. Just the one in the corner is hopeless if you’re in the CJ Lounge unless you have superman vision.

Yes I agree. We are away a bit these days so decided to opt for cheaper seats in the south . It is nice up there especially after a 2 hour drive from Ross and of course a  hot buffet if you want 👍

It’s really frustrating despite us not getting to the final I think the general on pitch consensus is very positive. Being let down elsewhere. The Dragons may be poo on the pitch but their season ticket package is quite impressive.

An overpriced dinner and a few expensive bits of clothing and to celebrate the 150 years, Llanelli RFC withdrawing from the league because it’s on its arse.

The dinner is not over priced

About par to local events. Two course event and tribute acts at diplomat around same price so current going rate

BUT agree not enough been done to celebrate 150yrs

Season ticket holder from the west stand. Been a season ticket holder over 10 years. Messaged the club on Twitter as could not see West stand open for renewals. No reply. Went to the club today and told they won't be opening it. We've been going as a family 2+2 for £260 last year. Next year cheapest I can see is two adults at 190 each and juniors at 20 each so £420. It's a great shame but we can't run to that. I hope I'm wrong and there is a 2+2 and I'm just not seeing it or not been announced.

Suggestion...

Pull together a 'real time' list of considerations and challenges and maybe ask Crys to present at the next meeting so the club has a chance to review/reply?

Points need to be constructive and/or use factual examples I think...(as per Blade's above)..

1/ Is there a chart that can be shared to show season on season ticket price comparisons (by section) please?

2/ Can the awareness level of that, and the timetable for launch , deadlines for renewal, additional incentives etc also be shared across all media platforms and by direct communication?

3/ Is there any incentive to attract new/junior/family members?

4/ Is there a plan to upgrade and customize the website to be a little more consumer friendly, maybe visit the teams that are considered best in class when it comes to the Season ticket renewals process?
To that end maybe leverage in to the end users and invite a cross section of the Club's Admin and Supporter representative bodies to form a workstream ?

5/ Consideration to a reward linked to length of continuous annual renewals is something I've always felt is a missed opportunity (personal view)

My point is it’s not exactly aimed at something families can go to which they haven’t done.

You would think they would charge you the same as its not your fault for them closing the stand.

Couple of your points have been a problem for years so why would they listen now?

Surely they will do a similar deal in the North or South, they normally do a deal in the corners of the North dont they?

What other things would people like?

Shop discount.. debenture holders were supposed to have that as part of their Interest Free loan to the Club, never materialized!! Shop blame Club, club wont comment!!
Free entry to Ac games, that was stopped for Deb holders once Llanelli RFC went PLC, they wont be in a league next season, so do you mean Free entry to C Quins & or Drovers??
Names on seat.. even if they are there, still wont stop someone initially sitting in a/your seat.

I'm a debenture holder. The period ends this summer. There's approx 200 of us, mostly due a repayment of 5k but some apparently 9k. Do the maths yourself.

Not surprisingly perhaps, they sent an e mail suggesting we forego the repayment. I've  not responded, nor have those sat around me. We all want to know if there is a new offer that we could take up. Personally, if I could renew (at a higher rate), I'd let them keep the original 5k. And getting a long term moan off my chest, I have a two course meal and a diet coke for £12 in tge Phil Bennett lounge before a game. Thats consuderably less than it would cost in the nearby commercial eateries and it isnt enough.

I'm one of the many of us that'll renew pretty much regardless of the offering but if I was on the fence or a potential new season ticket holder I'd like to see:

* Offerings around family/group memberships (can't see anything in the Q&A)
* What deals/benefits come with the season ticket (currently showing as TBC)
* What's on offer at the stadium in general (i.e. it's an opportunity in the material to mention things like the shop opening hours, various bars, upgrades to hospitality, cafe, what foods stalls we have, any upcoming non rugby events etc.)

As one of the easy pickings for renewal what would give me a bit of a boost and create some positivity going into next season would be things like:

* What's changing next season? i.e. are we upgrading any areas of the stadium, are there new food and beverage vendors, are we increasing staffing to improve service, etc.
* What non first team events are next season? Are we doing anything for the WC in regards to watching games in PYS with some food/drink discounts? Can we have free/discounted access to 16's, 18's, womens, Scarlets development team and junior games at PYS?
* Will we have merchandise out nice and early? So we can buy summer clothes before summer is gone and also get the kit on sale before WC kits

The season ticket stuff I've seen so far is too presumptuous that people know all these things and is geared towards renewals rather than renewals and new season ticket members.

I too am a deb holder are you sure your Deb ends this season, my deb expires end of 24 season.. yes the maths involved is indeed a lot of money £5.5 K or £ 9.5 k were on offer 15 years ago, i understand you can still get a deb seat, but now 10 years.

I have responded to my email, NO EXTENSION of current deb period is on offer, so it is either donate, or cash in, i have already told them i want out.

i sill pay to view then ad oc, as i wish

They stopped that before last season which was one of the reasons i didn't renew as i didn't make many games which i think was a silly move as had it stayed the same i would have bought it because it was £90 so it wasn't a problem if i didn't catch many games it's not as if that section is sold out every week because if you had to pay full whack you would pick a better viewpoint than that.

Defies logic that we average a 50% stadium fill and don’t explore every conceivable option to improve that number.

A close friend runs a chain of hotels. All he does all day is work on improving the occupancy level. Multiple incentives, special offers, one off deals, discount vouchers, family packages, free parking options, food and drink vouchers…literally anything to get the punters in.

His costs don’t increase in line with his occupancy. So he has a sweet spot of 75%. Above that and he’s in profit.

Opening 3 stands for average crowds of 7k is a big waste of money. Should definitely replicate the family pricing options in the corners of the North Stand IMO.

Agree . Another tip is to do all you can to retain your existing client / customer base. If they are happy with the service and match day experience ,they are more likely to accept increased ticket and merchandise costs.

There is nothing worse than a stand about 15 % full. Close the East and West and get the North filled up.

The club came to that conclusion a few seasons ago, but returned to using 3 stands not long afterwards. I think the variable number of tag rugby teams attending each match might’ve had something to do with it.

After seeing these posts I contacted the club today. No answer on the phones, so I sent an e-mail. We have been season ticket members in N1 for over 11 years.

They have just replied to say that they are now moving everyone from N1 to N27 in order to accommodate the community clubs who are being moved from the west stand. For the pleasure the cost is also increasing 40%! No correspondence from the club whatsoever about any of this which is extremely poor. I've asked to discuss the situation with someone.

We have been happy to pay the reduced price in recent years in the knowledge that we can only usually attend 50-60% of games. The increased prices probably don't work for us as individual tickets would probably work out - especially given the discounts that they offer in many matches. Given the stupid kick-off times last year probably will give most of them a miss.

Very poor from the club to not inform us of this

I've messaged the club on Facebook and Twitter and had no response. I've also emailed Crys to ask if they can contact the Scarlets. I've had no response from anyone. We've been ST holders for over 10 years, and had a family ticket for 8 years. We donated our covid refund to the Scarlets and yet all this loyalty doesn't even deserve a response from anyone. Love the club but this is so disappointing.

Hi. I had a response from the Scarlets on Facebook and also Crys said they would be forwarding on my question to the club. I have now renewed for the same price for next season. I do hope the club keep this option open going forward as its so beneficial to people like me who want to support but don't have a great deal of disposable income. It does feel to me that they were just going to ditch the deal and I think that would have been really counter productive. We've been holders for over 10 years. With two young children we spend money at every game, buy tickets for every knockout game. Through pushing family and friends we added 10 tickets to the Glasgow gate. Support is a 2 way street and I do hope they remember this. Thanks to Crys and the Scarlets social media team for their assistance.

Top effort there re your contributions to the gate and match day turnover. Well done, too, for phrasing it all politely and being quietly persistent en route to the desired result.

Agree completely with bydder here, though I have to admit that the fact that my Dad and his three brothers and sister
were all brought up in Sandy Road and would haunt me if I didn’t renew. I’ve been a season ticket holder for donks (7 years ols-ish) and am now 67 years of age. ‘Scarlet ‘til I die’. Renewed yesterday.

Yes, been a long time.

Left the UK around that time (work).

Before Scarlet Fever I'd just turn up to whatever game was on when I was back...through SF ( I was a silent watcher for quite a while before joining/posting and passing my initiation with the Board Admin at the time - the Reverend Smellymike).

I then started to sculpt my travel to get back for big/important/away games.
I'll always be grateful to SF for this.
