I like the new shirt..
unfortunately now a day is really complicated to buy merchandising, specially for a technical shirt that you cant wear daily...

Just a thought, why don't kit suppliers engage with the fans and throw a few designs out to gain buy in on the design?

Castore get the designs for F1 spot on, with some really great gear available. Their designs for us have been nothing more than a wet weekend

£70 bit steep that too and i doubt if the quality is any better. doesnt really look much different to last years jersey.
doubt i will buy it

Grateful for the cash but oil 4 wales logo looks so naff. I’ll avoid kits until they change.

It’s pretty much last years kit and sponsor layout, so not so much to comment on.

Training gear is an upgrade.

Prices are going to drive our season buys even lower sadly.

I’m sure prices were lower last year. What happened to the days of money off vouchers for season ticket holders?

I quite like the new kit, when you've got so many sponsors it's got to be quite a subtle design. I'm just hoping they fit a bit better this season.

Will they ever bring back white shorts and bit of navy on shirts?

The anniversary kit had both, unfortunately both the supporters version and player ones were the worst fitting rugby jerseys I think I ever attempted to try on.

The disgraceful 3 feathers is now even more prominent. Is this because we are even more committed to the feudal parasite, called the prince of Wales, that has recently been imposed on us? Or has our admiration and respect for the WRU reached new heights?

I for one will be running on the pitch in my pink panther outfit and spraying orange paint in the Oil for Wales logo.

It’s a great shame that in a modern climate of apathy or dislike of the idea of a feudal monarchy, that a great local sponsor has the three feathers as their business logo and that it’s so prominent on the jersey- but that’s obviously their privilege as a main sponsor! I’d rather see the feathers than a betting or loan company and the club isn’t a political independence party and isn’t going to reject a substantial sum from Oil 4?Wales or disrespect them. Fans will either buy the top or not.

Personally it’s the price that offends most.

Long way short of that fella. This is a thread on the new kit.

In the current financial climate in Welsh rugby i doubt we could afford to turn down any sponsorship.

The Scarlets don’t endorse what their sponsors might stand for. It’s a rugby shirt not a border or sovereignty dispute.

Wil
What's on the shirt represents the Scarlets. Is there anything you wouldn't have on the shirt so long as it gave money to the Scarlets?
This is about what the 3 feathers represents not the crawling of the bosses of Oil for Wales who either don't have the imagination to think of a different logo or are working hard for an MBE or some similar award for the crach that have worked hard for the undemocratic English establishment.

It's just too expensive. We don't live in London or east counties. We live in a relatively poor area. Sorry spending £70 on a Jersey not much different to last year's, no thanks. Sales will be further down again

I think we should be thankful for every sponsor on the shirt I haven’t got a clue on the financials for the Scarlets shirt are but I know Oil for Wales has done a great deal for local club sponsorships, put it this way the squad would be a hell of a lot worse without the main sponsor.

I’m not overly impressed with the Shirt very similar to last year.

I don’t know what people would accept as a fair price but £70 is a bit steep I’d say £60 would be a good price.

Discussions in Scarlets General should be restricted to discussion about the Scarlets and all things Scarlet-related. It requires mental gymnastics to try to justify how Brexit, the Monarchy, the Tories and most other political issues have anything to do with Scarlets rugby. There are other sections of the forum which allow for political discussion but some members sadly continue to push out their political views in rugby-related threads.

I thought this thread was about our home kit, which, I believe has a nauseating 3 feathers logo at its very heart. Do you want to start a separate fashion thread to keep nasty social comments that you don't agree with from your and Ladram's sensitive eyes?

To be honest I was more referring to comments made about Brexit and ‘Westminster control’ than anything else, which Oracle tries to mention at any given opportunity. It’s a shame, because I tend to enjoy his contributions when he keeps the politics out of it.

As for your comments about the 3 feathers, I think it’s a daft thing to get so worked up about, however you are of course entitled to share your opinion on our Scarlets kit.

So disagreeing with Oracle = Royalist lovers. Thats one hell of a leap even for you Oracle. Perhaps quite correctly fellow forum members think its correct to post on relevant threads. We have a politics thread & feel free to open a royalist haters thread.

Dai was perfectly Ok voicing his opinion on the new kit but quite how Brexit etc crept in alongside the poverty being introduced is beyond me.

I went to the club shop today I was wearing an all blacks shirt that fits perfectly it’s size X-Large

Went to try the new Scarlets shirt in size X-Large and it was tiny could barely get it on so went xxl still too small went xxxl and it fit but looked weird it was very short and was terrible.

Decided not to spend £70 on such a poor product and looked at the training kit horrible colours grey and a weird teal ???? And some strange burgundy rubbish.

Very disappointed with the kit and left the club without spending a penny. I want to help the club out and buy kit of some sort every year but won’t be spending my hard earned money on such rubbish.

Next season we should allow fans to have a crack at designing a shirt including material fit length and get other fans to vote on the best kit we can’t do much worse than this crap.

You can’t be the only one with this issue. I’d like to see the club put out a note about it I.e. apologise to those waiting on ordered merch, a detailed reason, and a commitment to when service is back to normal.

This stuff is so basic is pains to see some drama on it every season.

I was expecting better from Castore to be honest. They seem to be a premium company. Macron seem to be going from strength to strength, do these companies treat us less than other teams?

Castore are growing very quickly. This is only their 8th year of operation.
When you look who they now sponsor you could argue that their supply chain hasn’t kept step with their marketing team.
