Good to watch the game played in Stradey today with a fabulous 2.30pm KO! And a big crowd . Good home win 39-16 so coach Sean Gale will be happy ( although like most coaches he rarely is πŸ˜‰) can’t beat grass roots rugby to fill the URC gap

Shared the excellent company again of Scarlets Pimp putting the world to right and looking forward to the Fever expedition to Benetton later this month under the leadership of GPR Rochester !

Heard it was a good game, 2 competitive sides.

Meanwhile at Starch HQ, Gowerton Vets played Teddington "fat stags" vets.

Another surprisingly big crowd to watch a bunch of old farts bumble about πŸ˜‚

First game for me in 25 years, was able to pack down in 2nd row with my son and have the obligatory photo πŸ˜€ and raised a good couple of quid for charity as well.

Again grass roots at it's finest.

Beautifully sumned up by Reesy!
A realy tough competitive game. I noticed Crymych had a good win in the Championship  West, as did Tata steel, but all other games relatively close. We spoke to Nick Gale (senior player, assuming coach abd son of Sean)afterwards,  and he  told us what we are expecting,  a real battle of a season, with little between the sides. This is obviously  what you want.

I would really like to wish Dock Stars, Furnace, and Felinfoel well in the forthcoming season.
It is however the Wanderers who are flying the flag for Llanelli  rugby now,  since the shocking demise of Llanelli  RFC, and disgraceful lies we were told.
I would urge local rugby  fans to get to stradey and offer your support. Apart from what happens on the pitch (which is excellent), the welcome for incomers at the Wanderers,  is warm, welcoming and generous.

Finally, its a wonderful thing to actually  watch decent rugby in daylight , not under continual  floodlights at Parc. The URC and television  companies must think we are either moles or vampires,  who rarely emerge unless its dark Confused
