We’re all very used to seeing yellow or red cards in matches, however, what about white cards?

I was reading reports on local French rugby and under the line ups there were a list of all the point scoring moments in the match plus the cards given. White cards were mentioned and I’d not seen it before.

Apparently, they are used for technical offences that don’t involve physical play, if I’ve understood it correctly. White cards, like yellows, mean 10 minutes off the pitch.

Yellow cards are the physical fouls that can be further analysed in matches where they’re filmed but no TMO/Citing official is appointed to see if further action is required. The clubs are sanctioned if they get above a certain number. None of this applies to white cards.

Interesting concept that applies in the Federale and that’s division 5 & 6 after the 2 Nationales that sit below ProD2.

What does everyone think?

If the sanction is monetary, we’d be f00ked!
