Just curious as to why I have received the 1st email to nominate a board member for CRYS16 at 21.25 on 26/6/25 with a closing deadline for nominations of 27/6/25 !
Depending on the closing time this equates to a window of either 2.35 hours or just over 1day !!!  ?
However anyone wishing to apply needs to be seconded in this marginal window. 🤔

It seems there are 4 vacancies due to 2 current members reaching the end of their 2yr term.
Sorry but the cynic in me says 24hrs is not a genuine attempt to attract new people to the supporters group but merely a way for maintaining a status quo ?

That is odd. Even a 10 day notice in a newsletter as suggested, isn't really much notice. May be an oversight or more concerning as you allude to, a "closed shop"  that doesn't like dissenting views?

Having previously been on crys I can assure you that couldn't be further from the truth.

They're always looking for more members, more input and new board members and in previous years where all the board seats haven't been filled they've co-opted brand new board members post AGM.

Agreed.

Willing and able volunteers are always hard to find.
