Having read the response that she gave a forum member with regard to the planning application, I am a little disappointed that she is allowed to get away with saying that the flooding is still an issue.

We know that not to be a fact any longer and suggest that we write/email her to point this out. She cannot get away with disseminating false or out of date information to her voters.

I think that an "I know that you know............." email is in order. Anyone else agree?

BTW, I see now why SG wanted No6's gonads and why HE was keen to dispel the electricity club rumour after reading his post yesterday! I wonder how far SG would go down the legal route if he realised who No6 was?

Alun - I see no harm in putting Catherine Thomas straight on that.

Sent the following:

Dear Ms Thomas,

As I am not resident around the near vicinity of Stradey Park, I have kept out of the debate of the planning application for the area.

However, now that it threatens the very existence of the Llanelli Scarlets, I feel that I must ask for clarification on a point.

On Monday July 31st you sent an email reply to a question by one of your constituents where you reiterated your concerns over flooding at Stradey Park and that this was the anomaly that caused it to be called in by the WAG.

However, the minutes of the planning meeting by CCC shows that the Environmental Agency had no longer any concerns over the issue of flooding as remedial work had been carried out to remove their approval being only conditional. This means that the Environmental Agency - the experts - have declared themselves satisfied that there is no longer any flooding risk. This information was in the public domain on Thursday 27th July. Can you therefore explain why you still feel that there is a flooding risk or do you have any more information that Environmental Agency are unaware of?

I trust now, as a representative of all of Llanelli and not just the residents of the vicinity of Stradey Park and out of fair play, you will correct your public comments and agree that an external professional agency has declared no significant risk to the area of Stradey Park where flooding is concerned?

Yours,

A. H. Roderick

Will now await response.

If I get no reply, I'll forward it as a letter to either the Western Mail or the Star.

Outstanding Alun.

I've amended Alun's letter a touch and sent it to CT, copying in Carwyn Jones, Rhodri Morgan and the 4 regional AMs for Mid and West Wales.

I am starting to think Catherine has dropped a major b0ll0ck here - and if she has it should be exposed.

I'll await the reply.

Reply from Glyn Davies - Tory AM for Mid and West Wales:

Thanks.  Llanelli needs an early decision on this issue and I will be pressing the Minister to deal with the application efficiently now that he has decided to call it in

   Best wishes,  Glyn Davies

That sounds promising.

By the way, I saw that a Councillor had joined the forum yesterday. Interesting. He's an Independent.
