For those not progressing to the Scarlets the other clubs pay more wages than the Rfc and they will literally get the winning games feeling.I think we won one game last season.  Let’s hope that the region places more Scarlets squad players with the RFC this year.  🙏

How much of these wages come from WRU funding?

Would not have a clue do you know what RFC players get a game think Quins and Llandovery pay more than RFC

Robert Rees on twitter says clubs like Newport Cardiff Merthyr have bigger budgets than the rest of the league

Robert Rees is rugby writer has plenty of news on player transfers and budgets

We need a few Jonny Lewis’s quality semi pros in the rfc match day 23. Tom Phillips is a great start but more professional level players are needed. We are probably £50k light on player spend day,  2-3  big lump forward units and one or two in the backs and then our young players. Just look at the spine in the Cardiff rfc team- it’s perfect 👍 we should do that. We would win games and gates and sponsors would increase. There is a continuing reluctance to spend though and I have often asked myself what is the point in running a team like this which should embarrass it’s owners. Can’t blame the squad who give their all but the 50 -100 fans who turn up know the bigger stronger opponents will wear them down. It’s so frustrating but again it’s just my mouth and not my money!

Nigel Walker must be livid not only rejecting his slimming down but actually boosting it up !! Some are calling on him to resign but people forget that  it’s a well paid local job and he has to support himself and his family so suspect he will fume ….calm down and bide his time . It also depends on how The CEO has handled it with his bosses in the WRU amateur powered  board . Hopefully he’s backed him to the hilt but who knows with that lot!!
