We have genuine strength in depth in every position apart from the second row where it’s is time for Megan and Jac to step up another gear if they do we will be very competitive.

I think 🤞
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

I like the equal opportunities at the Scarlets, hope Megan is a big lady though to play second row LOLLOL

Its a bit odd that so many players are snapped up by Dragons though. Rowlands is a very tidy player yet we were never linked with him, now this other 2nd row Lonsdale is going there. Im sure people will say there is no point in just signing players for the sake of it but we do need more 2nd rows.

I’d missed news of Lonsdale. It’s a new name to me. Any good?

A second row/ back row hybrid think about 6ft5. An Exeter squad player for 5 years with on average 10 games a season with several of those off the bench - decent player but not world beating.

Rugby can be a brutal game and the attrition rate particularly for forwards can be high, so it is necessary to have enough reserves. Also those likely to be on the bench ideally are almost as good as the starting XV, but who will not be too disappointed with that position. A glance at this coming season's squad -https://all.rugby/club/scarlets/squad shows that we have 6 locks (Fifita down as back row) and 3 of those locks are of pretty high quality with Tom Price, Rawlins and Helps unlikely to be in action too often. Obviously most of these were not Peel's signings and as their contracts end we will probably see a reduction in numbers but an improvement in quality.

i think hell go well looks decent when he plays but he does rareky start. For us we have some big hitters kem foxt halfoenny cawdor patchell and scott whio are facing huge make or break seasons. Could be a real battke beween the old stars and the young guns for starting places
