With the announcement that Pontypridd want to now join the SRC, I wonder if Llanelli RFC will be tempted to even up the numbers.  It is something that is missing from our bid to continue as a region

Well done Quins! although  Newport are having a surprisingly disappointing start to  the  season!
The region now has two sided in the top three.

I watched Quins v Newport game.

Newport just need to get a win and they be up and running and collect more wins that’s for sure, they had the game in the bag scored a try in the 11th minute of injury time with the wind to lead for the first time. (Quins prop Newnian had a very bad knee injury, long delay in the game)

Quins showed some huge character down to 14 men to win it at the death in 16th minute of injury time, Elis Price came on for Carwyn Legett and nailed a touch line conversion with the last kick of the game.

Carwyn showed some very nice touches at times but made some basic errors which cost the Quins on occasions. He is learning his trade and is work in progress which this league should be all about. He will become a full international in my view, has loads of confidence for young man turning 18 shortly, but needs plenty of time to develop at this level.

Scarlets need to tie him down to a long contract if that hasn’t already happend, as I am sure he will attract a lot of attention from across the bridge.

Sparrow, Hawley and Jac Davies were all stand out performers last night, as was Jac Pritchard off the bench who came on and smashed everything in front of him, even winning a try line turnover penalty.

Tomi Lewis showed a few glimpses, but I'd expect to see more from him when playing SRC
