Front 5 picks itself
back 3 and halfbacks nailed on

BUT the centres and back row is a conundrum

willis, faletau, adams all fit ...Try choose 2 centres from the 4?Then back row try and pick 3 out of...moriarty/faletau/wainwright/morgan/basham

Louis Rees Zammit dropped.

Faletau straight back in the team.

Watkin/Tompkins in the centre.

Adams on the wing.

I expect those to be the headlines but who knows.

Bookies giving the saes a 13 point start, very tempted with that
No idea how they come to that gap? This is an england in transition off the back of 4 six nations defeats in their last 7 games.

An interesting match up I think as both teams are pretty brittle. Tuilagi is nailed on to start as the only centres left in his 25 man squad are himself, Slade & Daly. For that reason I would go with Foxy at 12 - he has 10-15 kgs on Tompkins & will need it.

Our strength, as ever this season, is our back 3. I would go with Liam, LRZ & Adams. I would buck the trend and start Cawdor who can get in the faces of the English half backs which is something Tomos does not really excel at. Front 5 picks itself really although I am a fan of Seb Davies' lineout work and pace around the field. Back row is a dilemma. England will probably go Lawes, Curry & Dombrandt. I would go with Moriarty, Basham & Faletau with Jac on the bench.

If England get their tails up with quick ball & get ahead it could be a long day. Our best chance is a dogfight, keeping close & seeing if their discipline goes which is not unheard of.

LRZ now confirmed as being released back to Gloucester. Not been playing well, but can’t see where our tries are going to come from.

Pivac is seriously out of his depth in international rugby. The backline haven’t fired at all this year and don’t even look menacing and now he’s dropped our best strike runner over claims he can’t defend. I think he needs to look at Cuthbert’s defence because that’s also non existent. This will be his last 6 nations if we get thumped by England and France.

There are deeper problems than Pivac. Sacking him would just paper over the cracks
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

Pivac is not a bad coach he’s been handed a thankless task with both hands and feet tied behind his back.
Garland very canny knew he had taken us as far as he could.
It doesn’t matter if Steven Hanson or anyone was in charge the whole shooting match is utter pooe and the players are performing miracles competing at second tier of intl rugby.
Also all the Pivac haters remember he was 2 mins from grand slam and please don’t say we’d were lucky we scored more tries than we ever did under Galtland.
Im not sure he is the answer but he gets far too much stick much more than he deserves.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

He is a bad coach at test level , all his backers should remeber we played against 14 men in 3 of his 6 nations wins and 2 of his ai wins

Ask yourself the question though, should we have expected to win those games even in 15 v 15? I would say not. Our squad is not great. You can't take a coach, give him a bog standard squad and expect him to magic up great rugby. What world class tools does he have at his disposal? We have a great back 3, but you need quality inside to get the ball to them. We have a pretty average set of forwards, who just about hold their own, but the bench is nowhere near the level of other nations.

I think people need to realise where Wales stand right now in terms of quality, and not just assume we should be competing for Six Nations every year.

I would make a comparison to Gatland leaving Wales, with Fergie leaving United. Both left when I believe they knew it would be incredibly hard to maintain the success.
