15. Ramos 14. Freeman 13. Menoncello 12. McCloskey 11. Bielle-Biarrey 10. Jalibert 9. Serin
1. Carre 2. Sheehan 3. Ferrari 4.Flament 5. Meafou 6. Beirne 7. Darge 8. Wainwright

16. Marchand 17. Genge 18. Heyes 19. Cummings 20. Doris 21. Gibson-Park 22. Russell 23. Eddie James

While White was extremely good, imo, Galthie’s blindness in picking a clearly below par Dupont denied us from a top level Serin who got the ball fizzing about and tries scored when given decent time on the pitch.

Well done Steve , most of those are excellent  picks.  I have to take you to task on the half backs  though( being an outside half-). Jailbert, a wonderful young player ,and very exiting,  but Finn Russell is at his pinnacle  right now,  and Serin for Gibson Park ..I think not ( only a double Nelson...patch over both eyes) LOL would pick that one

Serin has been the second best scrum half in Europe for a number of years, but a fall out with the French coach stopped him from being selected. Dupont was below his best and had a poor game against Scotland (so did a lot of the French), but is still the best player on the planet. However based on 6N performances, Gibson Park just shades Dupont, White was good and Serin when he played was excellent.
I would also have Guillard with Bierne at lock and Darge, Ollivon and Earl in the back row.
The only other change in the 15 for me would be Baloucoune at 14 just ahead of Attissogbe.

Many thanks for that comment re Serin. My selection at 9 was a bit tongue in cheek, however, I really think he’s that good.

Also agree re JGP and your comment re Dupont when he’s at his best but he’s not yet showed that since returning from injury, imo.

I must apologise for selecting Freeman ahead of Steyn, who was magnificent.
