Following on from Wil's sensible argument about resting players that look as if they will not improve &/or are pretty shell shocked by current events - Wainwright & Murray I would go with the following -

15. Beetham 14. Llewelyn 13. Hennessey 12. Hawkins 11. LRZ 10. Edwards 9. Tomos
1. Smith 2. Lake 3. Griffin 4. Rhys Davies 5. Jenkins 6. Plumtree 7. Mann 8. Cracknell

16. Coghlan 17. Southworth 18. Assiratti 19. Fender 20. Morse 21. RMW 22. Evans 23. Tompkins.

Quite where we go the following week is anyone's guess. Having seen the way the Boks dealt with a decent Italian outfit yesterday with many 2nd/3rd choice players & with 14 men for almost 70 minutes Rassi will not have any selection issues to worry him. His best team will be put out against Ireland next week & then he will mix & mtch against us.

Of the 23 above, hopefully no further injuries/bans I would suggest maybe -

14. Rogers - had a bit of a raw deal with some keyboard warriors but his display against Argentina was not his normal self. I think he was left in too many minds defensively by Murray & Llewelyn's indecision inside him.

13. Form players within Wales are thin on the ground & non existent within the squad so I would go with a known quantity who at least can play 13 - Joe Roberts

11. Dyer

9. RMW

1. Southworth

3. Assiratti

5. Fender

8. Morse

17. Gareth Thomas

18. Coleman

19. Carter

20. Deaves

21. Hardy

22. Sheedy

23. JBR Williams

Some. very astute choices there.

Apart from Tomos, Lake and Edwards I'm happy to see the dice rolled in any direction tbh.

I do think Rogers has been harshly judged, equality he is 27 next month and so I have to put him in the box that says he's not got much improvement in him. Harsh, but there's always collateral damage.

I see people think Cracknell played well, and he did, but he wouldn't have been any better than Plumtree given the chance...one is 31 that other 25.

A back row of Mann (7), Plumtree (6) and Morse (8) will bring some excitement, with Jenkins and Rhys Davies in the 2nd row and Smith, Lake and Griffin to start.

Mann seems decent and I thought showed some serious durability after that hit yesterday. It looked awful but he kept on playing, although I'm surprised there wasn't an HIA.

There was no head contact so maybe only whiplash.
Keep the faith

Can’t really understand Cracknell over Plumtree, or even Alun Lawrence on form. Both younger players with more runway ahead of them.

We will end up with some very undercooked players against SA for the out of window test.

Adams is done. Midfield is very poor.

Since we've so little chance anyway maybe it's time to make some speculative changes and try.
1 Nicky Smith
2 Dewi Lake
3 Keiron Assiratti
4 Dafydd Jenkins
5 Rhys Davies
6 Olly Cracknell
7 Alex Mann
8 Freddie Thomas
9 Tomos Williamns
10 Daniel Edwards
11 Blair Murray
12 Joe Hawkins
13 Max Llywelyn
14 LRZ
15 Cam Winnett (added to the squad like Deaves)

Replacements (6,2 split)
16 Liam Belcher
17 Rhys Carre
18 Archie Griffin
19 James Fender (new callup)
20 Taine Plumtree
21 Harri Deaves
22 Ruben Morgan-Williams

No, just what I wouldn't mind seeing, even parking the WRU issues putting me off I'm struggling to get excited about this Wales team.

It will be 80 points, then the second half will kick off.
Can we please have two new second rows who have a bit of nastiness about them the current two are very underwhelming.
There can’t be any players left from Cardiff otherwise they would have been selected in front of Joe.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

Novel idea, a player replacing himself. When do you think that will happen ?
