Melancholic music is my favourite. I don't understand people who say "Some music is Depressing". How can music be depressing? (unless of course it's yet another cover manufactured by Simon Cowell to generate him some more cash)
What is the most melancholic song(s) you've ever heard? And why? |

In 1972, Roy Bergiers scored that try and said "that was for you lofty"

Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelhjah for me, think his voice is incredible and quite haunting on that song. Died in tragic circumstances and at such a young age as well.

Doesn't really surprise me that you say that Kid A as you're a Radiohead fan. Prefer anger and hate personally.
Er to answer the question.... probably One by Metallica. I think they're a terrible band but also nominate Linkin Park with Crawling. I'm just looking by the Sterephonics I find immensely depressing, mostly because it being one of the worst songs ever contrasts with Kelly Jones' arrogance in believing he's some song-writing genius and his lyrics are deeply insightful when in reality they are dire in it.

I don't think a Radiohead fan needs to find solace in melancholic sounding music. [I also wouldn't describe em as the biggest Radiohead fan......I just liked Kid A as a username] I totaly get your Stereophonics comment though. |

Apparently so, I could have picked from about 5 of his songs really. It was really close between this and Waltz #2.
